Great location and Decent Value for Price

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location, cost
Just a couple blocks from the ocean in the inner harbour and walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown. The hotel is getting tired but for the right price it is a fine option.

Great hotel close to the harbor

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable, cozy, clean, and super staff. The cutest hotel dog ever!!
Cons: Nothing we can think of
Location: Very close to everything in the harbor and downtown. The harbor, fisherman's wharf, the Legislature, downtown shopping area... perfect spot.
Great experience.... very friendly and helpful staff. Only a block from the water and very close to downtown (harbor). We will stay there again in a second.

Great value close to everything.

Pros: Courteous and quiet.
Cons: They are in the process of upgrading the rooms.
Location: Close to the Legislature, Provincial Museum, Beacon Hill park, and downtown shops and restaurants.
An older hotel but well-maintained. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were comfortable with good amenities, a fridge, table to eat at, and a good bathroom. The hotel is two blocks from the legislature, three from the provincial museum and easy access to downtown. The area is very, very quiet. Overall a good value.

Comfortable & central location

Posted Mar 17, 2014
This hotel is comfortable and affordable. It's located 5 minutes walk from the parliament building and 15 from downtown. Overall it was a pleasant experience. There were some negative - the staff took a while to come to the desk when we arrived and the room could do with a bit of a upgrade. Our room had a rather old CRT TV and the bathroom was clean but showing its age. But the bed was comfortable and the hotel has a lot of character.

Average hotel close to harbour and downtown

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Location and price are attractive.
Cons: Some of the room furnishings could be renewed. The art work as uninspiring.
Location: Harbourside walks; Beacon Hill Park: shopping; restaurants; art gallery; museum; library;
This hotel is in a convenient location, close to coffee shops , a supermarket, downtown shopping and restaurants. Staff are pleasant and there is a nice sitting room on the main floor. The room was clean but showing its age. The budget conscious traveller would not be disappointed with this hotel. Its safe and quiet.

Great value, location and wonderful staff!

Very comfortable room with plenty of closet and dresser room. Clean and well kept. Bed excellent. Housekeeping excellent; friendly and courteous staff. Secure underground parking with easy access. Very quiet hotel; no disturbance of any kind. This is a comfortable, clean, secure and quiet hotel. It has an at-home feeling. I will definitely stay there again. Close to all amenities and within walking distance of downtown and a host of principal sights and activities.

Nice hotel walking distance to downtown.

Good experience. Think I was the only patron of the hotel at the time. None the less, quiet short walk to the harbour and downtown.

Pros: love the old charm size of rooms, near downtown.
Cons: like I said before little snack area for self serve breakfast, say 7 - 10 am with tea , juice, coffee etc
Location: location right downtown, museum, ferry, attractions. lots to do.
love hotel, but no restaurant open in hotel, had to go outside for any food. little snack bar with coffee, tea, etc would have been nice. even just bagels, toast, cereal etc in the morning self serve.

Excellent location!

Excellent location right on the harbour you can walk anywhere. The hotel is old and looks like a haunted mansion but that's what makes it so charming! The room was dated the tv needed to be replaced but the room was super clean and that's all that mattered. I would stay again

Character and concern

The Huntingdon Manor is a building full of character, medium sized with 19th century charm, one might forget one is in Canada and instead think they are in England or Scotland - with a large full bathroom on your room. The room I had was large, clean and comfortable. The staff are concerned with your well being and safety. I would stay there anytime!
