Great location, very friendly staffPosted Oct 22, 2014
The proximity to downtown, James Bay, and the Dallas Road waterfront are great. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room had everything I needed and was nice and clean. The wifi was also notably fast. The one thing about it I found a bit odd was how overpowering the air freshner used in the lobby (and that leaked into the rooms) was. You could taste the rose-like scent it was so strong. I found it to be headache-inducing and I'm not sure why they would be using *so much* of it all of the time.

Quaint, Convenient, and CleanPosted Sep 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was well located for walking to tourist sights. It had a great pub and restaurant. The staff was helpful and the rooms were reasonably priced, comfortable, and clean.

Very accommodatingPosted Sep 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I were assigned a nice room in the carriage house. Relatives traveling with us were assigned a room in the hotel. (We had made separate reservations prior to our trip.) When we asked about having their room moved to the adjacent vacant carriage house room, the staff quickly made the switch and even gave them a break on the upgraded room. This made our stay perfect!

We loved the James Bay Inn. It's quaint and charming, with all the amenities one looks for. The neighborhood was a bonus...lovely to walk everywhere. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed drinks in the adjoining JBI Pub.

Overall quite nice.Posted Sep 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Lobby has a great old-timey feel to it. Lots of old wood and stained glass. Quite charming. The rooms themselves are quite generic, like they've been renovated without any love. That said, the rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel but I think it was a little bit overpriced.

Extremely clean and quietPosted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and fireplace in the room
Cons: We would have loved coffee in the room, it was available in the lobby, and being an older hotel no elevator, good old stairs.
Location: Once in the harbour, The Empress Hotel, Parliament bldg. museum, horse drawn buggies, restaurants and shopping.
We enjoyed our stay, very rustic hotel and quite a good walk to the harbour

Chambre petitePosted Sep 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Cet hôtel est ancien mais très propre sa localisation est une force. Pas de clim et de frigo ce qui est essentiel. Le lit était aussi très petit et peu confortable.
