“Pleasantly surprised”

When we arrived we were upgraded to a courtyard room. The rooms were very nice. The location was quiet and just enough out of the downtown area to provide a sense of privacy. Yet, the downtown area was within easy walking distance. I am still not sure if a breakfast was included with the room. There is a nice little restaurant in the hotel. We found a great place (QV Bakery and Cafe) on Government street near the hotel where we had breakfast each day.

“Great place to stay for family”

It is a great motel with best price. Clean and nice. Walking to chinatown just 2 blocks. We do not need ride vehicle to Victoria downtown. Parking is free and convenient. Microwave and refrig is useful if you have baby.

“Bang for the buck”

This hotel may not look like much from the outside, but given its proximity to the attractions of Victoria, it's a good bargain. The room was very large with plenty of room to spread out. It did get a bit too warm and there was no A/C, only heater. But we did get a fan, so that helped. Would go back there again.

“Great place!”

This place is in a great location at a great price. Rooms were clean and roomy. Definately a good place for the budget minded. Doesn't have AC though so keep that in mind.

“Best Service Ever”

Traveling with 3 80's plus relatives is a challenge. Paul's Motor Inn was up to the challenge and more. They were exceptionally helpful with all itinerary plans. The restaurant was wonderful! The staff was friendly and the service was beyond good! We would go back in a minute!

“Not a cookie cutter chain hotel”

Paul's is a little diferent, maybe even quirky. From the picture of Bob Hope enjoying Paul's coffee to the largest plastic sign in the world when erected to the day that restaurant guests made their own change out of the register, Paul's is a refreshing change. Built in early 70s. Room was sparkling clean & quite comfortable. No AC, but the two fans kept us comfortable and we stayed in late July. Great service from front desk & restaurant staff. Restaurant was clean, good food at a good price. Paul's is the palce for us in Victoria.

“affordable, comfy and pleasant!”

loved this little place! it was perfect for what i needed. i took a west coast trip from the middle of california all the way up to Victoria by myself and this place took good care of my weary traveling bones. my room was in the back courtyard which was nice and private and quiet! my room was clean and comfy. the staff was very nice. the front desk lady had some issues while checking me out that were quite irritating, but nevertheless, she got me out of there and all was well. the location is great, everything is in walking distance. didn't care too much for the food in the diner, so i only ate there twice out of convenience. but all in all, i would stay here again!

“Good hotel for the price”

If you are looking for a good hotel on a budget this is the place. It is an older inn but it is comfortable, clean, safe, and within walking distance to all that Victoria has to offer. The room was very spacious. The only complaint we had is that the room was very warm...even in April. We had to run the fan in the room to keep it comfortable. Despite this fact, we will certainly stay there again.
