Quaint hotel in a quiet area close to downtown.Posted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: I liked the location, style (even though I don't typically care for old-fashioned), how clean and roomy it was. Staff was professional and caring.
Cons: Pay for breakfast and tea time, if you actually have it. No mandatory fee, regardless.
Location: The hotel is on a treed quiet street, few minutes walk to Beacon Hill park and Inner Harbour with all it's attractions.
I liked the location away from the city hussle but still close to downtown. My room was large and facing the garden, so it was quiet - which is what I wanted. The room and bathroom were impecably clean. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The only reason why I would not stay again was the mandatory charge for breakfast/tea time. I would like to have a choice (to eat in or not). With my dietary restrictions (vegan) there was little I could have. I actually did not even get on the list (maximum 16 seatings) for the second day's breakfast, because it was full - essentially paying $13.00 for nothing. Visiting friends in town, I was never around for the tea time, either. Well, now I know for next time around.

Well locatedPosted Jul 29, 2013
This hotel was a block from Parliament - an easy walk to just about anywhere we wanted to go in town. We didn't know it was a time-share until we were checking in and there were a couple extra steps in the process, but the staff were professional in the way they handled it. Breakfast was quite generous and satisfying. We didn't have time to do tea. The bed was comfortable. The room was furnished, but there were no decorations, so it felt a little minimalistic.

3 nights at the Rosewood - it was terrific!Posted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: breakfast, the big bathtub, the friendly staff, the location
Cons: can't really think of anything to be honest...
Location: The best location! Close to everything but on a side street so it was still very quiet! (Also close to a coffee shop, grocery store, macs)
We loved our experience staying at the Rosewood Inn. The room was comfortable, and clean - the breakfast was delicious, and tea was very nice as well. The staff were so kind to us, they even make us a brown bag breakfast on the day we were leaving because we were heading out before the 8am breakfast sitting. There was also a fridge and glasses in our room so we had our own snacks. There were a lot of stairs to our room - we had no problem with it but it may be tricky for some guests. The location in Victoria is perfect! You can easily walk to the downtown heading one way, and to Beacon Hill Park (you can see the parliament buildings from the front yard). We hope we get the opportunity to come back - we would jump at the chance to stay at the Rosewood again.
