Pros: location was convenient to Inner Harbour
Great location, no AC, but fan in the room helped with airflow. Cool temps, too.

Walking Distance to many Tourist SitesPosted Jul 21, 2014
Location: There are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as many tourist sites. It's a short walk to the Parliament Building where you can get
The Royal Scot is a short walk from the ferry terminal. We were greeted warmly by front desk staff and a big bowl of free apples. The room was clean but a little warm because of the freakish 94 degrees Fahrenheit the first day. The following days were much more pleasant. Even with the heat, there was a fan in the room and we were able to sleep with the windows open. Our room had a small refrigerator and microwave in the anteroom and we got free cookies each day. The room was large with a walk-in closet and there was little, if any, hallway noise at night.

Well situated hotel for Victoria's tourist areaPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: General comfort and good location to the main areas of interest in Victoria
Cons: Air conditioning and general ambiance.A bit dated
Location: Very good location only ten minutes from the inner harbour where there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs and ongoing activity.
The hotel was very comfortable. The rooms looked a little dated but ok, plenty of space.Air conditioning was mainly fans in the room. Food was good.We had one dinner in the hotel and we were disappointed by the rather inflexible attitude of the chef who could or would not amend his food options to suit our request for no vegetables. Vegetables are served with this dish, no variation, so veggies were left on the side of the plate. What a silly waste. Hotel located in a quiet street only ten minutes walk from Victoria Harbour which is the main buzz area of the city. We will stay there again.

The hotel is completely refurbished and everything is within walking distance. the pool and hot tub were great. Service was superb. We loved having a full kitchen and a suite with a king size pull out couch for my friend and a queen size bed for me in my own room.

Comfortable stay, great location.Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff.
Location: Great location, close to ferry terminal from Port Angeles, close to Inner Harbor restaurants & shopping, close to buses for transport.
We stayed for one night while passing through Victoria. We were upgraded to a suite, which we didn't need, but it was nice. The rooms were incredibly clean, and quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel in perfect locationPosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The central location; the large rooms, the pool and spa, the helpful personnel, the well-stocked gift shop and the reasonable price.
Cons: The restaurant personnel were not too friendly and attentive, but the food was very good.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf was only a few blocks away with great restaurants interesting houses and the water taxi was a fun thing to take back to the Empress.
We walked with our luggage from the Victoria Clipper dock an easy 2 1/2 blocks distance. Our room was large and with kitchen was all we needed. It was quiet, employees were very gracious and helpful; the gift shop had food we needed at the last minute. Hotel location was great for walking all over the main part of Victoria; had lots of parking, which we did not need but others who drive will appreciate. The pool and spa were so clean and inviting, and the exercise room was very handy and well equipped.
