Quiet retreat on anniversary of husbands death.Posted Apr 2, 2014
Great room and excellent view of the ocean waves rolling in. Can hear the surf and see the Olympic mtns. The staff were wonderful. Helpful but not overbearing. Location is good and silence really helped me. Food was so good and beautifully presented.

The room was great. View was great.Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: the room, the art was nice as decoration. The location. Again the view was great.
Cons: the in room coffee maker did not work on our last morning, waking up at 3:30am to catch a flight. That really sucked!
Location: The walk out on Whiffel spit is great. If you like hiking, up north, are beautiful hikes through the forest. We ate locally obviously in Sooke, nice.
Was expecting more of a True B&B. It was a 4 star motel ( very Nice) but with a high priced restaurant. Maybe I misread it. So breakfast was not included. Thought we would have dinner there, which we did, excellent, expect to drop $200? or so minimum.

Comfortable large room overlooking the oceanPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The fireplaces, the decoration, the comfort and the staff. The location is perfect for a romantic getaway.
Cons: I can't think of a thing
Location: Sooke potholes, Juan de Fuca Trail, Whiffen Spit and also close to Victoria for other activities.
It is a wonderful facility with beautiful views of the ocean. Well worth the extra you spend on it. The restaurant is also worth a visit.

Sooke Harbour House has to be the ultimate in warmth and comfort. Our room was the charming Mermaid Room filled with mermaid treasures. It also had a fireplace and a view of the water. Dinner too was wonderful. Not sure if the "deal" through hotels.com was such a bargain though as while breakfast is normally included we had to pay for it since we booked through you!

Beautiful Oceanside InnPosted Dec 11, 2013
Location: This Inn is in Sooke BC, next to world class hiking, fishing, boating.
The wood burning fireplace was so cozy, ocean view spectacular. Warm, friendly staff were very accommodating. The in-house chef was amazing. We had a wonderful relaxing time and will return.

This is a place we will return to many times in the future. Superb room, great views, excellent service, friendly, well located, just the very best. We have stayed in some of the very best 5 star hotels in the world and this little hotel ranks right up there with many of the great ones.

A heavenly placePosted Nov 23, 2013
Location: Loved walking out on the spit with the locals and their dogs! About an hour's drive to Victoria
We stayed at Sooke Harbour House 10 years ago for one night and the experience was memorable. We were finally able to return last week and found it to be equally wonderful--the beautiful art of many local painters and craftspeople displayed everywhere, the uniqueness of each room, the hand hewn wooden bed boards and other beautiful wood details, the hot tub, fireplace and beautiful vistas. The restaurant is also superlative. Creative, delicious, fabulous wine list and wonderful service.

Sooke Harbour House - we will be back!Posted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were in desperate need of r & r and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was fantastic, the rate through Hotels.com was amazing and we loved every minute of our stay. The complimentary bottle of Port in the room was a nice touch and we enjoyed it while soaking in our private outdoor hot tub.

Wow .. heaven on earthPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had waited 20 years to stay here and it was well worth the wait. An immediate feeling of peace when I walked into my spacious comfy room with log fireplace and claw foot tub. I will definitely be back for another visit ... hopefully when the restaurant is open, since it closes on Tuesday and Wednesday. However a delicious breakfast was served to my door ... lovely!
