not bad hotel in the centre of VictoriaPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: location, continental breakfast, a pub and a restaurant in the same building, late check-in, a luggage room for those who must check-out early
Cons: thin walls (it was Friday and there were MANY noisy neighbours) and old furniture, but it can't be improved, I guess :)
Location: located in the heart of Victoria whale-watching tour companies, a miniature museum, the harbour, souvenir shops nearby
quite a good choise if you want to stay in Victoria overnight all tourist attractions are close

Great Staff but room conditions does not justify high rate, NO AC, really hot during summer

Conveniently-located, great pricePosted May 3, 2014
Location: Close to the water, the Empress, Parliament buildings, downtown clubs (for the wild ones), great restaurants and many parks.
Our stay at the Strathcona hotel was great. Coming from Vancouver, my friend and I used public transit for the entirety of the trip, and the hotel was conveniently located a few blocks from the bus stop, as well as feet from several great little bistro/restaurants, the marina, Beacon Park and downtown Victoria. The room itself, though small, was impeccably clean (with soft towels - YAY) and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel was charming, and up to all standards for a great price - making the trip a total success!

Pretty much in walking distance of everythingPosted May 1, 2014
Pros: just seems to be in the middle of everything.
Cons: not really a drawback but they do seem to cater to the younger crowd.
Location: Craigdarroch Castle, China town, parliment buildings, museum and Imax.
we were not looking for a lot of extra things to do at the hotel, only a place to sleep and headquarter. the rates were good and it fit the bill perfectly.

Bad experience!Posted Apr 17, 2014
Location great! Hotel not worth staying, old hotel, old t.v. Dirty carpet and curtain, tiny rooms, no customer service skills, will never recommend it!

Affordable Hotel Downtown VictoriaPosted Mar 30, 2014
Good experience in general. Breakfast quite basic. Thermal and acoustic insulation not to their best. Room (especially bathroom) was a bit cold and not very soundproofed!
