Very nice smaller hotel.Posted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: We liked the location ,the staff and restaurant and pub .
Cons: It would have been nice to have a sofa or comfy chairs in the studio suite.
Location: The location was great at the inner harbour close to attractions, tours, shopping and nite life.
We very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Swans. It is a quaint hotel with beautiful remodelled suites. We stayed one night in a suite with a loft and one night in a studio suite. Both were excellent.

A wonderful, boutique hotel!Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Great location near the ocean and shopping. Excellent suites. Friendly staff.
Location: A block from the ocean the oldest Chinatown in B.C. Lots of interesting shopping nearby on Johnston Street and the Royal B.C. Museum is a short walk.
After a disappointing experience with another Victoria hotel, we went to Swans. What an excellent choice this was! We got a complete suite, for less than the cost of a room at the 'other' place, with views of the Inner Harbor and near the heart of shopping and good restaurants. We also had fine meals right at Swans, so there's no need to leave the hotel to find an excellent menu. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.

Tired, Hot and DarkPosted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: The staff are great!
Cons: Light, air conditioning,
Location: It's location is great, as it is across the street from the Inner Harbour.
We spent two nights in the Swans, and found the rooms dark and gloomy, with little ventilation. The bedroom is on a upper level with the bathroom on the main, which is nor particularly helpful. As well, there was a festival ongoing across the street that ran until 1am one night that was so loud you could feel its vibrations in the building. the staff were terrific people who did all they could.

Great for families!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Value, location, wonderful employees.
Cons: Lamps and bathrooms a bit worn.
Location: Great restaurants, shopping, and short walk to key attractions.
Small, European style hotel, but wonderful option for families with children. Our room was a very comfortable two bedroom suite, all for less than most hotel rooms. We had two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a full living room and kitchen studio downstairs. With three children too young to stay in a room on their own, we couldn't have had a more perfect set up, with a small patio to boot. Tiny lobby with just a reception desk, but very helpful and gracious staff. Popular brewpub and restaurant downstairs, but no noise problems. Some of the facilities and furnishings are a bit worn, but great value for the cost. Not luxury service, but that wasn't as important to us; the place has a really great vibe, so different than a big chain, more like a European inn. Location was fantastic, easy walking distance to a wide range of restaurants and most downtown attractions, but far enough away from the harbor to avoid the cruise ship crowds. Very interesting shopping-boutiques in the surrounding blocks. I'd strongly recommend Swan's to most.

Enjoyed the art on the walls throughout the establishment, as well as the musical art in the pub. Staff was informative and friendly

Very good location near harbour, ChinatownPosted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was nice. Our room was above the Pub and was very noisy one night, as when it closed, everyone seemed to go outside and sing outside our window. Vew ffrom 2nd floor was obstruced, so little reason to be on the harbour side where it was noisy.

Charming hotel in a great location.Posted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: The charm, and beautiful room.
Cons: The entrance to the motel isn't as clear as it could. I almost walked past it.
Location: The inner harbour is a quick walk. Fantan alley and neat shops are just outside the door. Government street has good shops and a great Soda Shoppe.
The check-in was so easy. The room was HUGE with the most comfortable bed. It was a quick walk to government street, and great shopping. A little further along to the inner harbour. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

spacious rooms, unique propertyPosted Aug 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
I enjoy the thought of staying at the Swans Suite, though I wouldn't visit Victoria again. Very comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. I was concerned about traffic noise keeping me awake, but closing the windows and using ear plugs allowed me to sleep soundly. Oddly, when I had a very early day, and didn't bring the complimentary newspaper into my room, it meant no maid service for the day, though I didn't hang the "do not disturb sign." The adjoining brewpub's beer is medium and features live music almost nightly I think.
