An exquisite boutique hotelPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Everything, especially the comfort in the room and the personalized service
Cons: Nothing at all
An exquisite boutique hotel with fabulous service. A hidden gem in Victoria. Everything from the elegant beautifully appointed room, to the comfortable bed, and the excellent restaurant meals and service in the restaurant and hotel exceeded my expectations.

Lovely hotel in perfect location for bus from ferry, bus to gardens and walk to shops, restaurants, and waterfront. We took the local bus to the gardens so that we were the first to arrive. This required a short walk from bus stop but so worth it. It was so comfortable. Excellent linens and toiletries.

Great hotel & locationPosted Jul 25, 2014
Was very happy I chose Magnolia for my Mothers special birthday celebration. We each had the a Signature Corner rooms which had a postcard view of the Goverment Bldgs lite up all night. Beautiful! There is not a water view from these rooms, just a tiny peek, but the location and night lights were wonderful. The staff was also friendly, genuinely helpful......actually seemed surprised when I tipped them for help with luggage and transportation. The location couldn't be better, two great restaurants just across street, block to shopping and wharf. In the heart of the action. The rooms are tastefully decorated. I am picky about hotels.....stay at Peninsula Hotels if possible or Four Seasons so bar is pretty high. Checked out the "Old Grand Hotel" of the harbor, which is beautiful and full of history but lacks air conditioned rooms. Was very pleased with everything about Magnolia and would stay there again.

Two day stay in Victoria, BCPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: It was very relaxing. There was no need to ask for anything.
Cons: I could not suggest any improvements. The stay was outstanding.
Location: Hotel was easy walking distance of everything. Food, shopping and waterfront activities very easy to get to. There was excellent dinning all around.
The Magnolia Hotel and Spa could not have been a better choice for a stay in Victoria. The room was awesome. The staff was impecable. The amenities were great as well. This hotel easily made this trip one of our very best. I would book this hotel again and again. What a great stay for my family and first visit to Victoria.

Great location and nice room. No view though.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Easy to walk from to most main attraction. We used the valet parking which was 18$ for the day but allowed in and out. Very helpfull staff that got us discounts on a whale watching tour.

A lovely respite in a busy cityPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Great location, close to downtown and everything within walking distance. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable.
Cons: The restaurant downstairs had a pretty limited breakfast selection, but again the staff there were very attentive.
Location: The Empress is next door, all the shops and tourist stuff are minutes away.
My husband and I were greeted at the desk by the very helpful staff, from the parking valet to the front desk staff. We found upon check in that our room had been upgraded to a corner room with king bed. This was a delightful surprise. The room had great light, was quiet and very clean and comfortable. The desk staff gave us maps, recommendations for great Thai food and were generally warm and hospitable. We will be happy to stay here again.

The hotel was clean. They had complimentary breakfast but we didn't get it since they said we bought our room thru Expedia. Which I paid ($329.) For this amount and quality of things it wasn't worth it. My room was a superior room on the third floor and the big picture window in the room was only a view of the buildings metal steep roof running practically down to the window. Definitely not worth the price.
