Check in was easy and quick. Room was very large with a nice view. Great amenities in the room and the little chocolates and apples were a nice touch. Aveda products in the bathroom were a treat. Nice comfy bed. Great hotel!

Simply Excellent

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Setting. Service was exceptional. Very well maintained and clean. Very efficient. The small things they did right.
Cons: No idea.
Location: In down town, close to everything.
Simply one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I stay in too many! easity the same if not better than most Fairmont Hotels I stayed in. My apologies to the Fairmonts, but it is accurate. Even though it is a pricy hotel I could not help think that this was value for my money.

Comfortable hotel 2 blocks from water

Posted Feb 18, 2015
No included breakfast, no free parking. Either street parking that you have to keep feeding coins into, or a parkade that closes at 10pm and locks your vehicle in for the night. But they have valets for parking. $80 for 3 nights. They advertise a hot tub, but don't mention it's 3 blocks away at the ymca. ( you get free access). We asked for 2 door swipe keys for our room. My wife's worked, after the 3rd replacement I gave up on trying to have one also. Basic cable, no guide in the room to let you know what channels they get from the 2000 available on the *on screen* guide. Any that I checked above 20 showed *not available, please subscribe * That being said, staff were friendly and professional, spa was great, room was cleaned twice a day, great location for wandering Victoria.

Diamond level rooms with fireplaces are lovely.

The valet parking is $24/night, but I chose the free street parking (6pm to 9am) as I was active and out of the hotel early every morning and back late each night.

The hotel is lovely, staff very courteous, easy to get into and close for an evening walk around the harbour after dinner. The restaurant addresses food allergies very well, and it is delicious

Disappointed

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Staff were very nice and accommodating, also very conciliatory when we expressed our concerns
Cons: Web site overstates the quality of the rooms
Location: Well located, close to the Barbour and many fine venues
For the money we paid, the experience was sad. Room was small, bathroom was very low ceiling almost head high in the shower, and I am 6'1". For the same or less money could have stayed in downtown Vancouver at L'Hermitage which is an excellent Hotel.

Beautiful hotel

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel overnight. The staff were very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The lobby was very pretty and welcoming...there was delicious hot apple cider available to sip on as well as coffee and tea.The restaurant looked lovely, unfortunately we did not have time to try it out.The room had all the comforts of home provided, even comfy bathrobes and slippers. The beds and linens were so cozy.I look forward to returning again soon.

Luxury hotel, great location

Very congenial staff, quiet room situation in a central location, the Magnolia Hotel and Spa exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and would most definitely return for a visit.
