Loved our 2-room suite

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The staff was quite pleasant and amazing answering questions with walking directions to sites, finding a local grocery store, and even booking tours.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf, Inner Harbour, Royal BC Museum, whale watching tours, horse carriage tours, Parliament Building, Coho Ferry, and more
Stayed here with my mom and daughter, so it was great to have separate bedrooms and separate bathrooms. Also loved our west facing balcony to watch the sunset colors and cruise ships. There was always lots of activity (sound) with sea gulls and sea planes, but not bothersome to us and only heard when the balcony doors were open! Staying here put us within an easy walking distance to many tourist sites and there were lots of restaurant options nearby. Having the kitchen made breakfast time and happy hour all the better! Look forward to a return trip.

Stylish and Close to Harbor

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Convenient location to harbor, BC museum, downtown area, and good restaurants.
Cons: More attentiveness (coffee refills, updates on food status) during breakfast, when service seemed slow.
Location: See what we liked above.
The hotel was very nicely furnished with modern themes throughout. The bed was comfortable. The studio we had was larger than expected, nice kitchen (barely used) and eating space. Temperature (warm for Victoria) was easily controlled with ceiling fan and window cross ventilation. Service in the downstairs restaurant was slower than expected for the number of people seated; I think the kitchen was kept busy providing room service. Except for that service was generally very good.

No Air Conditioning

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Loved that our room had a balcony! Staff were quick to help when you asked for items.
Cons: Air Conditioning at the least!
Location: Minutes walk to restaurants, water and down town!
We were very disappointed with what we arrived to. From the outside, front lobby and restaurant this hotel definitely looks to be a 4 star hotel (as claimed). However, once you go up to the rooms it looks more like a 2 star. Failed to mention to that there was no air conditioning in the rooms (something we thought was a common 'hotel' accessory) however, they were quick to bring up a fan for the bedroom to help. Not all in-room amenities were replaced every day with cleaning, even though we used them up. Housekeeping still knocked to come in even though the sign out front said no thank you. Front desk didn't know what time the fireworks started on Canada Day (even though they are located minutes from the Parliament building and from the set off location. They were not handing out mini Canada Day flags for the event, however, had multiple gay pride flags to give out for the event that weekend. (disappointing as I didn't realize Gay Pride was more important then Canada Day!) There is also a $15/day charge to park your car with them!

Quality hotel close to centre of City

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Large rooms with lounge and kitchen. Well located.
Cons: New better quality pillows. Safe to be provided.
Hotel was generally excellent and very well situated. Staff friendly and helpful and room with lounge and kitchen extremely comfortable. Everything is of good standard including the bed and bed linen but the pillows were terrible! We really enjoyed staying here
