Very nice

Everything was excellent. Extremely affordable. There is no room service, that is the only thing that could have made our stay any better.

Very beautiful hotel and quick walk to down town. Great pool and movie theatre. Wished room service was an option though.

Excellent vibe from staff upon arriving. Questions answered quickly. Excellent suggestions about nearby restaurants. However, a significant downside: huge space for claw foot tub, but too small shower.

The separate bedroom was very helpful for our family. Its a little worn but clean and comfortable. The pool is pretty deep on all sides so little little kids have to be held. And the only drag was we paid more through Expedia than if I had checked in with our companies corporate rate. We enjoyed our stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff was cheerful and accommodating. Room was as lovely as the photos and very comfortable. Would most definitely stay there again.

Extremely comfortable stay close to downtown

The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the room was very new with awesome amenities such as a clawfoot tub and heated floors in the bathroom. The lobby, pool, and hot tub were all very impressive as well, and there is a nice background noise of the pond/fountains that wind around the property. Location is two or three blocks from the harbor and the famous Empress Hotel. The room had two televisions with cable, although no dvd players or pay per view (that was fine with us). The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and provided a free toothbrush/toothpaste amenity, as I had forgotten mine. The kitchen was also well stocked for cooking. We didn't try the sofa bed.

Your home away from home - and more!

Pros: What I liked best about this hotel was the location and the ease of getting around Victoria and feeling very relaxed.
Cons: As mentioned, check-in could have been much better. The two towers are confusing when you are coming in after parking your car.
Location: Location fabulous. Beacon Hill is a must see. Lot of restaurants close by.
If you want a great location, close to Beacon Hill park, restaurants, down town, this is the place for you. Lobby is very modern, very oasis-like. Nice pool and hot tub for you to relax in. The room was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Front desk could be a little more helpful in explaining the "A" tower and the "B" tower at check-in. Got a little lost after we parked our car. Great coffee shop connected to the hotel.

Great Room

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: room
Cons: better breakfast included in the cost.
Location: Close to downtown, could walk anywhere.
Just stayed one night but given the size of the room we could have stayed a week and been happy. On the negative side took two people, three trips and 20 minutes to get our main fireplace to get our electric fireplace going. Then the TV in the bedroom didn't work...needed new batteries....front desk sent up maintenance man with the wrong size batteries....you would think that the maid would be checking these things when they made up the room.....a bit of a management error methinks. Nice staff good front end but no coffee shop or bar. Breakfast offered at $10.00 but wasn't as nice as most free breakfasts offered at most motels as part of the room cost. Still loved the room, loved the location and would stay again.
