Pros: beautiful setting, and superb location.
Cons: need "blackout drapes" in bedroom. and Air-conditioning.
Location: "everything" was within walking distance...great!...... to places such as The Empress, Museum, Parliament, Fisherman;s Wharf.
overall, we had a good stay. but, didn't sleep too well. room was stuffy, so had to sleep with window open....but, was too noisy outside. (just traffic, and regular noise) and, room was way to bright , early in morning....need blackout drapes, so the light doesn't wake you. for price of room, parking should have been free....or a lot cheaper.

Exploring Victoria

Posted May 25, 2015
The hotel is located in a perfect location for exploring. It's a short walk to the transportation hub, great shopping and eating places, and all the harbor and historical attractions.

Fabulous staff, facilities and location

A great Eco friendly hotel in downtown Victoria, just 2 blocks from the water, bus depot and BC museum and IMAX. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. View from my balcony facing downtown Victoria and the Olympic Mountains was fantastic. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Hotel has lots of great features including rooftop terrace with BBQ for guests to use. Spa and swimming pool, cinema (two films each night, one for families, one for adults), botanical atrium and lots of water features. Would definitely recommend, especially as in walking distance from most places to see in Downtown.

The Good and the Bad

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Location was very good. General ambiance was pleasant.
Cons: Housekeeping services including a tag for the door requesting that the room be made up. Better heating/cooling capability for use by visitor.
Hotel is well located. Desk staff was very helpful. Housekeeping was very bad. We stayed 5 nights. Twice we had to ask for last minute room service since no one had cleaned the room by late afternoon. One day we received no room service at all. Temperature control was impossible and the only way to cool the room was to leave the balcony door open all night.

Very comfortable stay in the center of Victoria.

Pros: The lobby is lovely and the indoor swimming pool is fantastic.
Cons: The roof-top garden was under construction. When it is complete, it will be a very nice addition.
Location: Victoria's inner harbor is just a few blocks away. Museums, restaurants, whale watching excursions are a quick walk away. So is Beacon Hill Park.
The Parkside is conveniently located three blocks off Government St., so it is within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Our room was large, well-equipped and very comfortable. The deck off the room was large and a lovely place to enjoy the view and beautiful weather.

Awkward, but very nice

Everything was top notch, high quality, thorough. Stayed on a windy day, and after the entire room steamed up after a shower cracked a window. Room trapped the wind so it howled and pushed everything around. No pay per view option in room, had to use onsite movie theater (playing Beethoven's 4th) or borrow old DVDs from front desk. bathroom activities can be heard throughout the entire suite.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable with the highest styling. I gathered with four friends and we all remarked on the beauty and comfort of the room. Our kitchen was perfectly stocked. The fact that the hotel is LEED Green Hotel certified is the most impressive factor of all.
