Great place to stay.

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: as above
Cons: coffee
We found the lodge to be very close ( 5 minute drive) to city centre, plus close to the main streets leading out of town(up island and to Sidney). The room was clean and quiet and had a huge T.V. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

Room with a view

Posted Apr 7, 2015
we had a welcoming hostess. once we checked in she called to ask if there was anything else we needed, if we are comfortable, is the room as we expected. and were open to any of our needs.

Convenient and reasonably priced

Pros: Convenient and helpful staff.
Cons: Updating rooms
The hotel needs a little updating. The staff is very helpful and rooms are very reasonably price. Our rooms were clean and quite. I would stay there again.

Clean hotel close to town

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: NIce tub and shower, good beds, and clean.
Cons: Tried getting off sales from the pup in the complex. No off sales. I was too tired to drive couple off blocks to beer and wine store.
Everything went well, clean and comfortable. Close to our kids place, and everything we wanted todo that weekend.

Great stay not a far drive from downtown Victoria

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: The pub, and not far from downtown Victoria.
Cons: How about a free breakfast?
Stayed here when visiting family members in Victoria, one of whom was the drummer in the group playing at the pub located in the hotel.

Great hotel for the price

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Moved room without asking because the front desk noticed we had kids, and original room was next to a noisy conference. This was very nice and the new room was very quiet and clean.

Very convenient distance to downtown.

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Mostly the location, but also, because it is like a motel it's not far to your car (or stepping out for a smoke).
Cons: This is minimal but the single service coffee pucks aren't that great.
Nice, quiet area. Reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff. Have already recommended the Gorge Rd Travelodge to friends.

Room was clean. We had a call from the front desk about being there about 30 minutes to make sure that everything was okay and asked if we had any questions.

Small, but Comfortable

Posted Feb 10, 2015
We stayed as a family of 4 (husband/wife/2yo/3mths) The room was smaller than expected but very clean. Our only problem is that we had an adjoining room and our neighbours were super inconsiderate. I'm not sure I'd recommend this hotel to a family as 2/4 of our nights were spent getting a toddler back to sleep at 1am. When our neighbours woke us up the first time it sounded like they were in our room. I realize this isn't 100% the hotel's fault, but the soundproofing between rooms could be better to help avoid this. Also, you can hear the plumbing/water usage of other guests which didn't bother us, but might be annoying to others. We had breakfast each morning at the restaurant in the hotel and it was delicious. The hotel staff (front desk, maids, restaurant staff) were all awesome. Very nice and definitely made us feel welcome. We didn't end up using the pool as it was a walk outside and on the opposite side of the hotel and our kids would have froze on the way back to the room after swimming.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry that you were disturbed by inconsiderate neighbours. This is occasionally an issue for guests that are staying in guest rooms with adjoining doors. However, it is rarely an issue in our other guest rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you that future stays will be quiet ones. It is our hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you.
