Beautiful view!!

Pros: Cleanliness and sound control. While you could hear people out on the walkway, the rooms seemed to be sound proof.
Cons: How to access the indoor pool. You HAD to reach it from the outside and go down another sidewalk. There was no inside hallway.
Service was excellent, clean room, location was great too.

Great Location - No elevators

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The location and the price.
Cons: Clean the stairwells, and outdoor hallways - install and elevator or have staff that could assist with luggage.
Location: Not too much directly near by, but very easy to get into Victoria by car or by bus. The neighbourhood is quite lovely and there is a dog park close b
The location of this hotel is excellent. We were on the 3rd floor and there were no evevators and we were carrying a lot of luggage and personal items as we had rented a kitchen unit. We had to make several trips up and down 3 flights of stairs upon check in and on exit. There is no staff to assist. The room itself was clean and suited our purposes. The hotel itself is quite old and run down. The stairways were quite dirty as were the outdoor hall ways. There is a bar on the 3rd floor and the noise and stale smoke odour were evedent as we walked by.

Really liked my view over looking the Gorge

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: Nice walk to the Gorge
Great stay, Nice staff and very helpful at getting me back to the airport. Restaurant was good great people running it, they made us feel at home. The blues club was a very nice surprise and the Sunday jam was great with very good entertainment, a great way for me to end my weekend and my stay in your Hotel. Your on top of my list for places to stay in Victoria . A nice family stay.

Shower water pressure was a problem, it would disappear. Otherwise it was satisfactory.

OK but Disappointing

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Cons: Needs to be upgraded as furniture and rooms lloking very worn.
Location: In Victoria and reasonable rates
Older rooms, lights did not work properly, plus lots of noise from local bar. Front desk was friendly but not very helpful.

Pros: Price is amazing. Really, how much time do you spend in your room.
Cons: Decaffeinated coffee in rooms and restaurant would be amazing.
Location: Close to our kids that go to University of Victoria.
Staff is willing to accommodate you with rooms and meals.

Next to the river with a dog park.

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Private access to the room.
Cons: We had to get conditioner and lotion from the front desk. Would have liked them to be in the room.
Location: Easy to find, free parking right at your room; about 15 minutes from UVic; lovely park with trees and a river right across the street.
Walk up private entrance, excellent price. Nothing fancy, but nothing missing for a family passing through. The dog park across the street is on the riverbank and very beautiful.

Great Location, close to downtown and transit

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Clean, Clean, Clean. Everything was like home. room was quite and comfortable. it had a great view of Victoria.
Cons: Not much to improve, free parking, free safe, everything worked and it was spotless.
Location: Gorge Boardwalk, bike path. steps from shopping and 1/2 walk to downtown Victoria. Transit was steps from hotel.
The Travel Lodge Victoria is a great place to stay for business or vacation. No nonsense facilities, free wifi that actually works! not like some places i've stayed. the room was clean and comfortable, it has a great view of the Gorge Treacle (board walk) and steps away from it, fantastic for morning or evening walks or runs. pool was clean and the fitness room was a plus. I booked a room with a kitchenette, everything was clean and ready to use. The kitchenette even had a skylight. Bathroom was very clean and well maintained. Overall a great value for the money and I would definitely stay again.
