“Good quality for price”

All was great with the hotel, except the breakfast. It was advertised on Expedia as a full breakfast with a picture of bacon and eggs, but it was a very skimpy continental breakfast. That was the only disappointing thing about it. The hotel was comfortable, and the person at the desk was friendly. She even apologized about the breakfast and said she would contact Expedia immediately to make sure they changed the breakfast offering. There are many restaurants nearby, and it is an easy off and on the highway, but tucked back, so the noise from the highway is muffled. All in all it was a great stopover for an overnight stay on our way to Las Vegas.

The hotel worked for what I needed it for. Close to the free way and easy to find. I would stay again.

I found the hotel comfortable and clean. The locaton was good and easy to access off freeway. Staff were friendly and helpfull.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. I had a much needed night of rest while in Barstow.

Barstow suited us well but on the rest of our trip we had issues with the term "pet friendly." Our pet is a 40 pound well behaved, well trained, quiet dog. (She only barks when we play and that is done at large lawn areas - like dog parks.) and some hotels only accept dogs under 10 pounds and in carriers. No really conducive to our travels.

The staff was more than friendly and helped after we booked for the wrong night. She gave us the information we needed to fix things that expedia was not willing to do and everything worked out fine. The pool was impressively clean.

“Stuck at Lost Hills”

Got stuck on I5 driving from LA to San Jose on 11/28. Its probably the worst day of the year for this stretch of road. It was already past 8pm and we were in bumper to bumper traffic with no end in sight. We decided to get some rest rather than take the risk and end up getting home at 2am or worst. I called ahead to make a reservation, and everything worked out perfectly. There were already a few people in line when we checked in, but the process was quite efficient and we were in our 1st floor room quickly. The carpet, beds, and bedspread look relatively new, so that was quite nice. The bathroom was decent size, but the shower stall looks pretty bad. My daughter was afraid to get in due to the dark color stains and grim on the floor and around the grout line. Overall it was good value and as expected for a Motel 6. We would stay here again if we needed a pit stop to crash between LA and San Jose.

“For the price, it is what it is”

If you are looking for a room that has a bed and a shower, you can't go wrong. Nothing fancy here, just the basics. My room had a sulfur smell from the shower, but a quick shot of lysol cleaned that up.
