“Friendliest Staff on Route 66”

We booked this based on cheapest rate in Barstow on the way to Vegas. Extremely Friendly Staff. We called ahead and they were so jovial on the phone it brightened our mood. We arrived at 11pm and were welcomed with the same enthusiasm and friendly smile as on the phone. Check-in was quick and uncomplicated and the room was as to be expected from the 1.5 star rating. The sheets were clean and no weird smells in the room. The bathroom had been recently remodeled and was quite ok for this price range. We skipped the advertised Breakfast/Coffee because it didn't look too appealing. Check-out was just as easy and friendly as Check-in and we left in great spirits.

“Okay if you are not picky”

The room was clean and spacious, but there was cosmetic damage to the counter and sink (many knicks, missing paint). The bed was firm and very comfortable. The ice machine was broken, but the owner gave me ice from her refrigerator. The pool was not heated.

“It's Name Says It, "Economy" Inn”

This is an older motel that has seen some wear and tear, but the room was clean. If you are on a tight budget and your stay is just a travel stop-over for a shower and a bed, this motel is sufficient.
