“Brilliant stopover hotel”

We stopped over on our way from San Francisco to Laughlin Nevada. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Hotel has a swimming pool which was a bonus after a long journey. The restaurant and bar were excellent. Could not fault it.

“Comfortable, quiet and excellent service, recommend”

We stayed for 2 nights at the Quality Inn, as a base for seeing the Mojave Desert. Reception was friendly, helpful and efficient when we arrived and throughout our stay. Our room on the second floor overlooked the courtyard garden and was clean, spacious and well equipped (including fridge, microwave), the bathroom dated but everything worked. There was ample free parking close to the room. The cooked breakfast was good and included, wifi was free, and a really nice surprise, so was a copy of the Wall Street Journal. We ate both evenings in the hotel restaurant, which serves Mexican food: I can recommend the Canitas with crispy pork, very tasty. Service in the restaurant was also very good. The hotel is near both a Vons and a Wallmart for stocking up and walking distance to fast food places.

“Nice hotel conveniently located”

Very impressed with large room with fridge and microwave. Nice outdoor pool area. All very clean and well-maintained. Beds super comfortable. Great breakfast included. Would come here again.

“Very good stop-over location but pricey”

Very comfortable and recently remodeled rooms. Fantastic massage recliner included in the room was a welcome sight after a full day of driving. Restaurant on site had very good food, although very slow service. Since the Inn is located at a transport hub, the prices are elevated and DEFINATELY too expensive for the area. Overall, I was thankful for the room cleanliness and easy access.

“Good hotel with good local amenities”

If you are staying in Barstow, you are probably travelling to/from either Death Valley or Vegas. This is a perfectly good place to stay if so. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient, and the breakfast is pretty good too. Very good value as well. There is not much "Highway 66" about it, but there is a small museum in the train station (well worth a short visit). If you're here in time for dinner, escape the chain-restaurant monotony of the main street and head for the Idle Spurs Steak House in the north part of town, a wonderful restaurant with delightful atmosphere, straight out of the 1950s (but with better food!).

“Good for a short stay..”

This is an older property and still needs more upgrading. The room was standard, but clean. Sandy at the front desk was very helpful with the internet connection, which went in and out during a storm. The Mexican restaurant on site was average, at least they had a few vegetarian options, and breakfast was cooked to order. But it was a good place to land on a stormy night. No elevator available for those who might need one. No in room fridge or microwave. Barstow is not my favorite town with limted lodging, so all in all, average place for a quick overnight stay.

“Find another place”

It was what you paid for but I would not eat at their restaurant. It was dirty and also check your credit card statement. This place charged us for the one night we stayed in addition to expedia charging us. The hotel denied charging us but thanks to our credit card co. we didn't double pay .
