Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Bed and general room comfort AND Manuela the daytime desk clerk
Location: Central to everything
Great location and very clean. A charming old palace smack in the middle of everything. Good breakfast and the trun down, robe and chocolates were a pleasant surpirse. Negatives: Bed as hard as a marble slab Room overheated and no way to cool it down but open the window BUT small pedestrian walk was too noisy Bedside wall sconces instead of table lamps made reading in bed almost impossible Biggest Negative - desk clerk named Manuela. All other staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room team was superb and always on top of things.

Close by, cosy and comfortable!Posted Dec 14, 2012
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Very central
The hotel is located right off the main shopping street so is ideal if you like being in the centre of things. There's a choice of two subway stations close by as well as bus and trams stops that give you access to everywhere in the city and beyond. Weather was quite cold when we were there but the hotel was very cosy. It was a little difficult to regulate the heat in the room but you can open the windows to cool down! The staff are excellent, professional and knowledgable, and work hard to make you feel at home. Breakfast offered a great choice to suit any taste and was available until 11 o'clock for the late risers. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for any traveller.

New Year in Vienna!Posted Jan 4, 2012
Pros: Decor, prompt service and smaller size so more personal (44 rooms).
Cons: Not applicable.
Location: Central and ideal for the Christmas/New Year celebrations taking place.
Extremely central hotel and with an old-worldly feel of Vienna, so central that the main sights and museums can be reached on foot or by a quick walk to Oper for the metro and tram. The staff were more than helpful in a quiet and non-intrusive way. The rooms were kept clean and tidy every day and have a local elegance which inspires a historical feeling for Vienna. Breakfast was plentiful and with variety. One small issue, which is almost unjustified in it's mentioning, was that our room was incredibly hot (late December) and meant that duvets were unnecessary; but in times of cost cutting it seems unfair to complain of such generosity! We would definitely return here if visiting Vienna in the future.
