“Quality without pretentiousness”

service was exemplary! friendly without being overly presumptious--available 24 hours and extremely responsive to requests. Room was spacious, comfortable and well-organized Housekeeping respected request for privacy, but made sure to leave clean towels even though I kept privacy request posted for entire day. Parking at no cost, and proximity to metro, is highly attractive for those desiring to reduce the downtown DC expenses. Food purchased was good quality and good cost, despite limited choices.

“Great Place to Stay”

This was a fantastic location, right next to a Metro station. Perfect for getting around in D.C. without worrying about parking and traffic. The hotel was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed. My only complaint would be that there weren't really any restaurants in walking distance. However, there is a bistro in the hotel, and Tyson's Galleria is just a few miles away.

“Great DC Vacation Hotel”

Just returned from a 3-night stay at the Courtyard, and I echo the other positive reviews of this fine hotel. From the underground, secure parking (chain-gated with key-card access) to the "walk across the parking lot to the Metro" location, this Courtyard is a great choice for business or leisure. This was a family vacation for us, so the safe area was a plus. Restaurants within walking distance are sparse, but we had our vehicle, so finding quality restaurants was a simple short drive. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant. The kids loved the indoor pool, though being somewhat small it did get crowded during the evening hours. Room was splendid. The Dunn Loring/Merrifield station is second to the last on the western end of the orange line, so it normally took us about 20-30 minutes to get to downtown DC (longer on the weekends as this is when the Metro undergoes "track maintenance" and the trains share lines...causing some delays). But both the trains and the station were clean and very safe. Will definitely make this my hotel of choice anytime I am in the DC area.

“Not Impressed”

If you want a pretty hotel with nothing more to offer, then this is your place. However, if you are wanting a hotel with friendly and helpful staff, look elsewhere. The front desk staff was not helpful, friendly and I would come close to saying that they were somewhat rude. And though the rooms were nice and pretty, the walls were so think you could hear absolutely everything going on around you. So don't plan on sleeping in!

“Clean, Quiet, Convenient to Metro rail”

I had a 5th floor room on a Thur & Fri night. Very quiet, the adjacent rooms weren't occupied. Bed was comfortable & had lots of pillows. Decent tv selections on a 32" flat screen. Nice bath, has seat in shower/tub. Refrig is handy. Decent food & snack selections in restaurant/bar/store area. Bar has a 5-7 pm happy hour. Restaurant food is fair, delivery was sometimes a little slow & incorrect. Arby's 2 blocks away, Giant grocery store 2 miles. Gold's Gym 3 blocks. Dunn-Loring Metro station on the Orange line 1 block away. Downtown in 20-25 min.

“Trip to DC”

The hotel was very nice and very comfortable. It is also conveniently located next to the Dunn-Loring Metro station. Very easy to get to downtown. There is not much in the area close to the hotel, such as restaurants, shops, etc. The hotel does have a convenient snack shop in the lobby. Not a big deal for myself. Overall, I was very satisfied and would stay again on my next trip to DC.
