Not what you pay for.Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: The location and friendly staff were it's pleasing features.
Cons: New televisions that aren't ruined. Free wifi for guests at hotel. Making breakfast included in room fee.
Location: It does have a great location, next to most of Vienna's mains attractions.
While booking a room in this hotel it seemed to have a certain high standard. I should note that rooms are not cheap. That said, there were a lot of things this Hilton hotel did present to us that even a run of the mill hostel is glad to offer. In room wifi was not included, and to make matters worse, you have to pay 20 euros for 24 hours of wifi, which is ridiculously expensive. And to make matters worse, said wifi wasn't high speed, or even a average speed connection. Ordering food to your room was slow. When the staff promised to bring food in around half an hour, food only arrived an hour later. Even though rooms looked fancy, in reality, it had poor conditions. The television was a small and old CRT TV that had ruined colors due to its age. The hotels cable service was terrible with 90% of the channels being in german and only 2 channels in english, which to me, makes no sense in a hotel thats supposed to be somewhat english derived. There was only 1 chair in the room, which obligated me to sit on the sofa eating on my lap instead of on a table while the other guest in my room sat on the chair. All in all, at least the staff spoke good english and were very helpful.

Great location to explore Vienna.Posted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Very spacious room (may have been a mini suite) with separate sitting area and great beds. Reasonable value for money.
Cons: The hotel is in need of refurbishment. Bath tub difficult to get into and out of. In-room Internet is pricey. Breakfast service a bit hit and miss.
Location: The hotel is located on the main ring road that encircles the city centre, with tram and bus stops located right outside. Public transport is great!
This was the base for our 4-day visit to Vienna. The room was very large and, as requested, extremely quiet. The bathroom had a shower located above the bath tub and there was a separate toilet. Tea/coffee making facilities were provided. In-room Internet was available at a pretty steep price, but there was free Wi-Fi available in the lobby. Our room rate included daily buffet breakfast, which offered an extensive choice of very good food.

Not an American Hilton typePosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Location and breakfast.
Cons: Furniture and appliances. The hotel in general is pretty old. Internet is very expensive.
Location: Close to the streetcar and metro station. Walking distance to the museums and parliament. Location is the best of this hotel.
It is not a Hilton hotel at all. Pretty old hotel and even though the room size and bathroom are OK, bed and TV are terrible. Not a flat TV. Very old furniture in general. I tried to change for another room type, however all of them have the same bed. Not a good mattress, pillows or blanket. Great location though, very close to the museums and parliament. Walking distance to the opera. Breakfast is good, you can ask for different kinds of eggs and coffee. Service is good. The hotel needs to be remodel.

Noisy building works!Posted Sep 28, 2013
Continuous noisy building works from 7.45am to 17.15 every day! (Electric drilling, hammering, sawing!). Impossible to stay in room during this time. Extortionate price for wifi access. Dated furnishings. V small (& old) TV with limited channels. Cold/impersonal staff. Worst Hilton I've stayed in!

Review for Hilton Danube not PlazaPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: (Hilton Danube not Plaza) Views from room
On arrival to the Hilton Plaza we were informed that Expedia did not check availability and they were full so we had to stay at the Hilton Danube instead.. very dissapointed as picked this hotel as right near city centre. However, The Hilton Danube was great, although another 5 mins on the train and then 5 minute walk from station it had extremely nice river views, excellent room and staff very helpful.

A little dated but nice hotelPosted Sep 13, 2013
Lovely hotel from the outside but a little dated once we were in our room... bathroom door handle very loose however hotel staff were very good & a great location. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner of Austrian Tapas at Nasch.

A great hotel in classic, beautiful ViennaPosted Sep 12, 2013
Top notch hotel near all the major attractions of the old city in Vienna. Considering that we stayed three nights there for a price that was far less than could have been booked directly, it was a real steal.

Good place to stayPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is nicely located with ubahn and tram easily accessed, and within walking distance to the city center. A/C worked well, big marble bathroom with separate toilet room, 2 large closets with large mirror and vanity space, large bathtub with shower, huge bath sheets. Clean. Get the executive floor for the breakfast and Internet. We asked for extra pillows and towels and they arrived within 5 minutes. Gabor the concierge was very helpful. The tapas restaurant was very good. The only downside was that the mattress was harder than we like but not unbearable. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel and accessible to all transport.Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: clean, spacious and accessibility and staff were good.
Cons: wifi should be free inside the room like other hotels.
Location: Walking to the centre of Vienna was easy. Catch the trams in just 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Beautiful experience that we will never forget. Staff were helpful and accommodating (excellent service).
