“Wonderful experience”
This is what a 5-star hotel should look and feel like. Charming old world decor, friendly and helpful staff, and perfectly located near all the old city historical attractions, excellent restaurants, and public transportation.
“Wonderful and Romantic stay”
Hotel Bristol is a perfect hotel for seeing Vienna. It is perfectly situated just at the end of the pedestrian shopping area and right across from the Opera House. The service is top notch, the rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, and the overall stay was perfect. I'll be staying at the Hotel Bristol everytime I go to Vienna.
“Great Location - good experience.”
This is a first rate hotel in a great location. The staff are very helpful.
“Great location!”
The concierge was a great help! He got us opera tickets, recommended restaurants, and helped us decide the best way to get to Bratislava.
“Great Hotel, Excellent Location, Worth The Upgrade Delux Room”
Next door to the Opera. Near Palaces and Walking street. Large room with sitting area was given due to our upgrade to Delux. Was worth it. Business center with free Internet.
“Old World Charm and the very best location”
I have stayed at the Bristol in prior vists. I cannot say enough good things about the helpfulness and responsiveness of the staff. As on previous visits, my room was so warm at night as to make it uncomfortable for sleeping. A mention of the situation to the front desk brought immediate corrective response. The bathroom in my Deluxe room was small and cramped by my standards. I've had rooms with bigger bathrooms at this hotel. The location is unsurpassed -- within easy wakling distance or a short tram ride to 95% of all the tourist sites and the very best shopping. The U-Bahn is 30 paces beyond the front door. The decor and atmosphere are elegant and and give one the feel of old Vienna. There is no casual dining option at the hotel but many of Vienna's best restaurants are less than a 10-minute walk away. One of Vienna's finest restaurants -- Korso -- is inside. Go there for sophisticated ambience, excellent food, and a €€€€€€€€€ bill. Bottom line -- the Bristol will continue to be my preferred hotel when in Vienna.
“Great location,”
Hotel is right across the street from the opera so very convenient. Hotel is older but recently refurbished. No breakfast is included and very expensive at the hotel. Concierge is very helpful.
“Great location, comfortable beds”
The hotel is very central and makes it convenient to walk everywhere. It's also convenient to Vienna's fabulous public transit system. The beds were very comfortable. My only issue is that there was no free wi-fi access in the hotel.
“Great location”
The staff was very accommodating!
“Wonderful taste of old Vienna”
We loved the external louvered shades that allowed the room to be completely darkened. The decor was far from routine--old time charming. The bathrooms (yes, two) were quite very comfortable and convenient The beds were hard by US standards (common for Europe) but OK. Great location.
