The building is VERY dated. Whilst ok from the outside, at reception level including the breakfast area, once you leave there it’s clear the place urgently needs some TLC. On arrival we were given our room on the fourth floor and told we needed to use the stairs as the lift was broken. This meant 107 steps up and 107 back down every time we came in or out. The stairwell itself was cold concrete with half completed electric work showing through. We were told the lift had been down for ten days prior to our arrival and they didn’t know when or if it would be fixed. I can understand this as although broken, the lift itself was a small old service elevator type design of another era. Basically if you have any health issues don’t stay here and risk no lift. After 4 or 5 ups and downs the fun goes away and after a long day sightseeing, 107 steps to get to your room is a killer! Breakfast at 12.50 was was too steep. There was very little choice on offer, breads and pastries were not replenished the half hour we were there. The room itself was ok, finishing needed tidying up but for the price we paid for 3 nights, I certainly expected a lot lot more than the dated and rundown experience we had.

The stay was okay, located in a convenient location close to the main station, so could travel around Vienna on the Underground quite easily. Staff were friendly. The main issues were around the facilities - the elevator wasn’t working so had to walk up 4 flights of stairs every day, and the shower pressure was bad and temperature not constant. In general wouldn’t stay again for the price.

There was no Wi-Fi during my five days stay. The curtain nod was dangling I wasn’t able to change in my bedroom. The elevator was not working so I had to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs.

This hotel was the worst experience in my life.
The hotel needs complete renovation. The shower is old, the head is rusty and doesn't work properly so water splashes all over, the sink is so tiny - you can't even brush your teeth over it. The beds are old and uncomfortable. Room service is terrible, beds were never fixed properly. No air conditioner!!! Breakfast was not tasty and same every morning. No soundproofing. Noises were heard all night long. Please remove all pictures of this hotel becar they don't reflect the reality.

This is a terrible place. There is a terrible lift, no refrigerator, air conditioning, the bathroom is very small, everything looks untidy, it's incredibly hot in summer. I left this hotel immediately after check-in and booked a room in another hotel. Also, I immediately asked for an iron, but it was rusty and damaged, it would be impossible to use it for good clothes

First of all, forget the pictures online. They are not the reality. The hotel room smells like pee and everything is old. The bathroom is the worst part: see through window when showering, spider and moth in the ceiling, and no curtain. Honestly the only good part was the location. Usually you get what you pay for, but this hotel was $100 per day and is not worth all that.

Hotel was clean and was good for a single night to be able to catch train. Photos are very outdated and do not match current status of property. Halls had strong smoke smell but room was clean and did not smell like smoke. Do note there is no AC in the room.

The photos of this hotel flatter to deceive. It is actually fairly tired and in need in maintenance and a refresh. The 3* rating is a laugh - it may have been once. 2* at best now. It only has one small lift for its 76 rooms which is clearly insufficient. The miserable blonde receptionist we had to deal with on arrival needs a good night out at a comedy club. Her other colleagues were much friendlier. The rooms have old fashioned keys on a large plastic keyring (we immediately took that off). Be warned that the door does NOT lock when you shut it (you have to lock it from inside). The room was spacious enough and the beds were OK and clean. The room and basically the whole hotel needed decorating. There was a bulb out, one plug socket did not work, the sink had no plug, the shower head was basically a large tap (and there was no way to turn the large separate overhead shower head on so it may as well not have been there), there is a shower curtain instead of a screen so water gets everywhere, and the toilet is a terrible design with the water at the front instead of the back, so you get to examine your effluent at close range when you get off the seat. Lovely. You have to borrow an iron and board from reception. The iron leaked water so is a death trap. The hotel is on a busy road so it is noisy, but it is opposite the central train station which is very handy. We were given a couple of vouchers for bottles of water which was nice. Overall not recommended.

The view from the window was good, but the noise from the street or the station in front was so loud that it was hard to sleep. There was only one small elevator even though it is not a small hotel so, you have to wait for the elevator for a quite long time when other people are using it.

Right on a busy street, so if you want a quiet room, be sure to email them and tell them you want to be at the back of the hotel off the street. It was also really warm and the heat wasn't even on and it was really cool outside. VERY LOUD!

Cheap and handy for the station. Helpful and charming staff. Good if you find the sound of traffic soothing. Common area floors could be cleaned. Likewise corridor walls need sprucing up.

The room that i had was generally clean and comfortable, but you could see that especially in the bathroom some repairs would be necessary. Biggest issue for me was an extremely spotty and bad wifi connection.

Need to improve on customer service, never talk to customer like talking to your buddy. There is no shower cubicle other than a cheap plastic curtain. Shower water was everywhere, and the shower head was really old, all black and somewhat moldy.

Unsafe hotel with rude staff
Terrible experience, unsafe hotel, rude staff. Shower severely clogged. When I asked the receptionist if he could do anything about the clogging (see pictures), he lost his temper immediately and screamed at me multiple times, “WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? YOU EXPECT ME TO UNCLOG IT?” Other guests walked in during this interaction and were visibly shocked as well. Was not even offered extra towels to soak up flooded bathroom, slipped and fell on the wet floor—multiple bruises sustained. Was told that the hotel was completely booked, so I could not change rooms, but receptionist the next day said this was not true, and I could have been moved to a room with a functioning shower. Shower drain remainder clogged for my entire stay despite bringing up the problem. Also the toilet flushing mechanism broke. The toilet could not be flushed at all. Does this even count as a bathroom if neither the toilet nor the shower works? Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.
