Everything great except the curtains

Lovely building, very clean and comfortable and a lovely breakfast. Close to underground station and a selection of restaurants. Only negative is that it would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-night stay at Hotel Fabrik. It offered the unique historical experience of staying in a former textile factory, as well as ample modern conveniences. The breakfast every morning was stellar-- the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel also offered great food at a reasonable price.

The hotel is not ao far from the schonnenbrunn castle but the area is boring, hard to access and a bit creepy

Excellent 1st night ever in Vienna!
This hotel is excellent. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast extraordinary. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We couldn't be happier. The room was on the smaller side, but it was all we needed and very typical for Europe. It was a hot day and having nice cold AC waa fabulous. We had a late check-in--we just went to the restaurant to get our key. The area and room were very quiet. We tried to eat at the restaurant, but it was late and they stopped serving food at 10 pm. The only slight downside was the shower was a bit tricky to maneuver because thierere was no door so we had to be careful not to spray water everywhere--but ww managed just fine. We discovered an amazing restaurant 5 min away, which is called "Dinglestedt". We would certainly stay here again--excellent value!

Lovely large rooms, quiet location in the city but minute from the Underground with easy access all around the city. Clean rooms, lovely staff and excellent breakfast. Would not hesitate to return.

A great hotel to visit Vienna from
The hotel is very quiet & clean & is located about 250 metres from the U Bahn for easy & quick access to the city centre & trams for access to the Hautbahnhof (main train station).

The room is clean and comfortable. The people who work at the reception are very nice and helpful. They gave me many useful tips and suggestions which helped a lot given that this was my first time in Vienna. The food is excellent and the people at the restaurant are extremely nice and accommodating to my requests. The hotel is well located just a couple of mins away from the subway and tram station. There is a gas station with a supermarket right across the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying there. I definitely will, if I go back to Vienna again.

As a European hotel, this place lives by their standard of being minimalistic. The room was spacious, the bathroom was very clean and spacious as well. The morning breakfast was probably the best (in this price range) I had in any major european city hotel. My complaint is that they don't have a 24 hour front desk service(7am-9pm), which I think is a major drawback compared to other hotels I have been to in Europe. Also, it wouldn't hurt to put in some bottle of hand creams and conditioners in the room.

Hotel Fabrik Vienna
The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. I had two complaints though. The lighting was terrible. The small bedside lamps were impossible for reading anything in bed. The desk lamp wasn’t much better. Also the shower stall was designed such that the water sprayed out of the open stall into the bathroom, making a mess. A very poor shower design. That being said the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was ample and tasty, and the location near public transport was terrific for my needs. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

nice hotel in good location
Arrived the hotel very late at night. We requested big room for 3 pax which was given to us with no problem. Reception was polite and fast. The hotel is less than 3 minutes walk from station. Internet was good. Breakfast is VERY good.

Excellent hotel with easy access to city centre. Liked the heritage-preserving design. Spacious neat rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Would have been top marks if there was coffee making facilities in room.

Stayed 6 nights here in May. Hotel room was functional (rather non-descript decor), bath was large, bed was comfortable. No drawer space at all for clothes but did have a few shelves. The hotel is not located in a very good area though...no nearby restaurants or things to do within a short walking distance. It was near the tram and subway though which made it easy for our day trips outside the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent - made-to-order eggs, omelets, bacon, all kinds of fruits, veggies, cold cuts, wonderful fresh baked breads of all types, coffee, espresso, teas. A pleasant stay.

Good location but bare bones service
Third stay at hotel -- probably last. Service is really bare bones. They should hire a nightwatch. Reception (and main lobby) closed 21h-07h. Hence no possibility of wake-up call. Restaurant closed on weekends. Poor comfort in room; only very hard stool to sit on; armchairs in lobby are better, but you are ousted at 20:55. Breakfast OK. EUR 13 for parking (secluded but neither guarded nor access-restricted) is a bit a on the high side. This bare bones service, probably motivated by cuts in personnel, is regrettable since the hotel has quite a charming "fabrique" as an old factory, and is very well located (2 U-bahn lines nearby; street cars, and easily accessible by car -- right on the Gurtel). Some effort in rethinking these details would go a long way towards making it a very attractive alternative.

Stayed 2 nights on a business trip. Hotel isn't bad, but I've had better experiences in Vienna and elsewhere. The rooms are actually very spacious and in good condition. There is also an on-site restaurant which seems quite popular, but we didn't use it. My main issue was with the staff. There was no one at the reception after 9, and late check in can be difficult. During check out also, I was called at 1115 told that I must vacate the room immediately. Yes, the rules did say check out at 11, but I've never seen any hotel enforce it so strictly. I was anyway leaving for the airport at 12. All in all, ok place but not managed as well as chain hotels. Location isn't the most convenient either. Don't think I'll stay here again.

The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast great and included in the room rate. Three stops from the centre of Vienna on the Metro. The hotel is set out around a nice courtyard however the neighbourhood is a little intimidating. Be careful of opportunistic crime at the garage across the road.

Factory life in Vienna
The hotel is an old factory so there it is quite interesting. Biggest problem is the front desk hours of operation. You need to call them to get the instructions to get your key if you arrive later than 8 PM. Go out to the street and check in the bar until midnight after that go to the 24 hour filling station across the road to get you key! The same problem occurs if you have an early morning flight. You had better make travel arrangement and paid you bill the night before at the front desk does not open until 7:00 am Other than these inconveniences the hotel is pleasant, breakfast is good and all is well.

Nice little gem in Wien
Very close to the metro, just at the edge of town. Even though there's not much going on around the hotel, but it is always a few subway stations away and it is actually nice that way because it is very quite once you enter the nook. The hotel is not clearly marked from the outside, you have to enter a gate to go the parking lot inside to see the reception, it's confusing when you first arrive, but it's not a problem. very good value for money, good breakfast. def will stay here again in future, good job.

Great location, close to public transport.
we chose Fabrik for our 8 day stay in Vienna as we were arriving via rail into Westbarhof and required something close by. Although not in walking distance dragging bags it was right on the tram line and the price was within our budget, and being new, we decided to stay there. On arrival we were made very welcome and were very pleased with out 1st floor room overlooking the courtyard. The room was well appointed, open design shower, but no problems with that, good hot water and fast Wi-Fi, and very comfortable beds meant a great nights sleep. A fine breakfast spread was provided with a wide range of fresh fruits, breads and hot food, cooked in front of you on request, one the best breakfast we had on our Europe holiday was here. The restaurant at the front of the hotel served good meal and cold beer, and on weekends when it was shut the front desk provided us with info and maps to got to some other recommended restaurants that suited us fine. Using a weekly pass on the public transport meant we could get to all the places we wanted to visit easily on either U-Bhan or tram which stopped about 200m away, making this a great hub to tour Vienna. On leaving we again used U-Bahn and CAT train to get to the airport easily with only one change.

Hotel Fabrik is a great, reasonably priced option when staying in Vienna. Very very clean hotel and rooms, great breakfast, beautiful and quiet courtyard (all room face the courtyard), and an easy two minute walk across the street to the train getting you to the heart of Vienna within ten minutes. Also, all rooms are air conditioned! I would definitely stay again. I also love that the building itself was a clothing factory from 1908, saved, and converted into a hotel.
