Wonderful neighborhoodPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Beds were a little too firm but otherwise perfect for the price!
Lovely hotel in quiet neighborhood a bit outside city center, which we loved. The D tram stop is 2 blocks away and is a 5-10 ride to main sights. Best public transport system I've seen. Hotel staff willing to help in any way with friendly smiles. Rooms spacious by European standards. Wonderful authentic Austrian restaurants right in neighborhood with better food and prices.

It was comfortable couple of nights, clean, nice quite area, the only comment, the gym and steam room was locked and have to inform the reception every time you want to use it.

Very comfortable hotel, in quiet residential areaPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Big room, quiet, comfortable and good value
Cons: The Bistro appeared to be closed,
Location: Close to two U-Bahn lines, Trams and restaurants/cafes and shops eg a Spar supermarket. Just far enough out of the city centre
We stayed four nights at this Hotel. It is located a little way from the city centre, in a pleasant residential area. The Hotel is modern, clean, comfortable and the superior room 703 on the top floor was quiet and spacious, with a nice view, good aircon and a safe. The toilet and bathroom are separate giving great flexibility. The free WiFi is good too. Breakfast in the 3rd floor restaurant has a good choice of cold dishes, plus eggs, bacon and sausage. Be aware that the restaurant doesn't appear to serve evening meals and the Bistro was empty most of the time. Wasn't a problem for us as there are plenty of places to eat just a few minutes walk away. The Gasthaus Wickerl has an authentic feel and good Austrian food at reasonable prices. There is also a good Greek place too. Tip: The integrated tram/bus/subway in Vienna makes it easy to get into the city centre. Buy a 24 hour ticket from the nearby Friedensbrucke U station (line U4), 10 minute walk. You can buy the ticket anytime, but the 24 hours start from the time you validate it with the blue box on the station or tram. U4 line gets you into the city in 10 minutes. Tram 5 to the Prater fair ground park and Ferrris wheel in 20 minutes. Overall no issues with this Hotel, enjoyed the stay and good value in my opinion.

Great HotelPosted Jun 2, 2014
The room was clean and very specious. Breakfast had a great variety: cereals, yogurt, different kinds of fresh juices, cold cuts, breads, fruits, hot dishes: omelet, frankfurters. Location: tram D is around the corner, short 7 min ride that takes you directly to the Ring and the Opera. Very convenient. Friendly staff. We had a very pleasant stay.

Serene! A very special place.Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Nothing to add to the above.
Cons: Really nothing I can think of. The positive far outweigh anything negative there may be.
Location: Great location. Sigmund Freud museum is just a few minutes away. Very much within walking distance of the 1st district, or take the D which is close.
It's unlike any other hotel in Vienna. The location, the park, Palais Strudlhof, the peace, just pure tranquility and pleasure right, left and center. The terrace on the 8th floor, not many hotels can offer that. Every single staff member was great. If you need something, or if there is a small problem, they are extremely accommodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent and so is the room, very bright and inviting. Overall, great experience.
