In the centre of the old town.

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: The location and inclusive breakfast was varied for all tastes.
Cons: The pillows, there was only one pillow and it was quite flat.
Location: Great location, around the corner of Cathedral and walking distance of any number of restaurants and shops, small lanes and attractions.
When shown to my initial room I smelt cigarette smoke although it was a non smoking room. The porter agreed it was overpowering and immediately called the desk and was directed to another room which was also larger. I appreciated this as there was no fuss.

Central hotel

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: central location and right next to the underground
Cons: more pillows
Location: next to st stephensplatz cathedral. Metro. shops. cafes. everything really.
This hotel is very good and is central to everything such a museums, Spanish riding school etc...The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet also the staff are polite and friendly. The rooms are decorated in keeping with Viennas beautiful buildings e.g. monuments, gothic architecture. A very pleasant stay for the eek and overall experience was wonderful.

Right in the middle of Vienna

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Central location, size of room, friendly staff
Cons: Room maintenance
Location: You cannot get more central in Vienna than this, can reach most attractions in minutes by walking, or with public transit
You can hardly get any closer to Stephansplatz, so the hotel is at the heart of the touristy part of Vienna. The biggest surprise was the use of old-fashioned keys but that's not a problem, it's quite charming. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was good but one can find better in Vienna.

Overbooked

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Locstion
Cons: Customer service
Upon arrival we were told the hotel was over booked and we had to stay in the sister hotel a distance away. This was not in the area we wished to be in , , the hotel left us no choice. Staff were polite but rather unhelpful and only very reluctantly offered us dinner as compensation. We felt the customer service was very poor and clearly the hotel had over booked and felt they could relocate us with little consideration to our views.

It is very central and close to lots of restraunts, shops and cafe's. It is also close to the Undergrond. It has a Restraunt upstairs and an Italian Restraunt which it owns next to it. Fabulous breakfast buffet with lots to choose from. Very helpful and friendly staff.

We made the best choice.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, food all to a high standard.
Location: Close to St Stephens, Kursolon, Opera House and Studtgart Park
Hotel really close to the centre but surprisingly not noisy in the room. Perfect location, as we're keen to explore on foot, we were in walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit. All the hotel staff were very professional and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was sublime.

Lovely hotel, right in the centre of town

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: It's so central - right beside the Stephansplatz, the Underground station of the same name, and with a taxi rank just outside.
Cons: Breakfast was always a bit crowded. A gym. Draught beer ("vom fass").
Location: Location is brillant.
While it wouldn't be confused with the Four Seasons, this is an excellent place for a few days in Vienna. The staff were attentive and helpful, the lifts and aircon worked, breakfast was excellent whether you wished to eat hot (scrambled eggs, sausages, sometimes bacon) or cold (bread, cheese, cereals and charcuterie).

This hotel and its staff were stellar. Old world charm to the max. lovely front desk . Helped with maps, tours, restaurant recommendations. Breakfast bufet is great and bountiful. A carafe of coffee for us Americans, ( No Expresso here thank you) And it was on your table as soon as you sat down. the selection of breads cheeses, spreads, fruits, meats,,all top of the line. The breakfast staff was so nice, remembering you when you walked in the next morning...This is my 2nd stay and I will be back. Was in town to visit friends and stayed 3 days this time..For anyone visiting Vienna, make this your hotel...!
