Pros: Location, Staff, room anemities, bed comfort, bathroom amenities
Cons: Breakfast buffet was very expensive, and not included in room cost....

Good location but bad standardPosted Oct 13, 2013
Cons: Rooms need to be renovated
The room was not very clean, it looks old and filthy, phone not working, safe deposite broken, very noisy from the street - windows are not well enough isolated....

Thank you for your feedback. It helps us to improve our service! I am really sorry for the inconvenience. If you could send us an e-mail with your room number and date of stay, i will talk to housekeeping, who was responsible for your room on that day. We will also fix the problem with phone and safe box, of course, all of that has to work properly!

Great Location, Rooms Need Serious UpgradingPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Lobby, staff
Cons: see review
We selected Viennart because of its location to the museum quarter and the 4 star rating. We were pleased with the hotel staff and lobby. And, the free drinks available during the day are definately a plus. However, the rooms leave much to be desired and simply don't rate with other 4 star hotels. Our first room was in the front of the hotel (the red(?) side), facing the main street. The day was warm and the room temperature reflected this. It turns out that there is no ventilation in the room. No fan, no AC, no vents; nothing to reduce the temperature except by opening the windows. So, we opened the windows, only to discover that the street noise was excessively loud (think lots of trucks, trams, and major construction nearby). We did request to be moved to a quieter room; the staff wasn't able to do this until the following day. Fair enough given that our request was made in the late afternoon. So, we slept in a very hot room with the windows closed. When we mentioned this to the desk clerk, we were told that it was an old building and that no rooms had ventilation. However, we did notice the hallway and lobby are nicely air conditioned. The following day we moved to the "blue" side of the hotel and went through the same problems with a "quieter" room. It really wasn't quieter. Overall, I cannot consider the Viennart equilvelent to a 4 star hotel and would definately not recommend staying during the warm months (June through September).

Close to all must-see sightsPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Viennart Hotel is within walking distance to most of the key sights associated with Hapsburg Vienna. It's also very close to the shops and eateries in Mariahilfer Street and to the famous Graben. The staff were very helpful indeed, and the breakfast value for money. Air con only downstairs. However, despite having a fan in the room, the room was very hot at night as we had to close the windows against traffic noise. Best NOT to stay there in the summer months unless you don't mind a noisy or hot night.

Would go back. Excellent location: peaceful street, right behind MuseumQuarter, near a busier street with shops and a subway stop nearby. Very nice atmosphere, very nice staff, good free wifi etc... Had a small single room but perfect for my needs.

Lovely hotel, right in the museum quarter - just a hop over the road. Main and smaller shops also within walking distance, in fact in the 4 nights we were there we only used public transport to get to and from the main station and the underground is about a 2 minute walk away. Highly recommend Glacis Beisl over the road for dinner. Only downside was you couldn't take drinks to your room and the machines were sometimes not working. Lovely hotel though, would stay again
