Great modern hotelPosted Nov 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a twin room which was spacious and clean. Location was very good, close to the Volkstheater U-bahn station. Most of the major sights were within a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. Complimentary coffee, tea and juices were offered from 12pm-12am which was great. Only complaint was that the walls were very thin -- we could hear our neighbour's TV.

Excellent hotel next to Vienna's Museum QuarterPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Location, Staff, room anemities, bed comfort, bathroom amenities
Cons: Breakfast buffet was very expensive, and not included in room cost....
Location: Fantastic location - right next to the Museum Quarter and only one block from a subway station which provided easy access to all of Vienna
We loved everything about this hotel from the location to friendly, knowledgeable staff

Close to u bahn, mariahilfer strasse the centre. Breakfast is overpriced and unexciting. Room is very good quality but not cheap ..this is common in Vienna. id stay here again as its very convenient.

Nice staff, okay for 1 night but better optionsPosted Sep 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The lobby is clean and the room isn't bad. The internet did not work and the bed was uncomfortable. The price is good however. Parking is a nightmare, even with a parking garage nearby. No ac or fans in the room. For a quickie easy 1 night place it is acceptable, but for a vacation I recommend a different location and hotel. For business travel it passes but the internet did not work so it caused problems for me with my travel.

Great Location, Rooms Need Serious UpgradingPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Lobby, staff
Cons: see review
We selected Viennart because of its location to the museum quarter and the 4 star rating. We were pleased with the hotel staff and lobby. And, the free drinks available during the day are definately a plus. However, the rooms leave much to be desired and simply don't rate with other 4 star hotels. Our first room was in the front of the hotel (the red(?) side), facing the main street. The day was warm and the room temperature reflected this. It turns out that there is no ventilation in the room. No fan, no AC, no vents; nothing to reduce the temperature except by opening the windows. So, we opened the windows, only to discover that the street noise was excessively loud (think lots of trucks, trams, and major construction nearby). We did request to be moved to a quieter room; the staff wasn't able to do this until the following day. Fair enough given that our request was made in the late afternoon. So, we slept in a very hot room with the windows closed. When we mentioned this to the desk clerk, we were told that it was an old building and that no rooms had ventilation. However, we did notice the hallway and lobby are nicely air conditioned. The following day we moved to the "blue" side of the hotel and went through the same problems with a "quieter" room. It really wasn't quieter. Overall, I cannot consider the Viennart equilvelent to a 4 star hotel and would definately not recommend staying during the warm months (June through September).
