The person to whom we were to collect the keys was very abrubt and in fact demanded why we were not there at 10.00 when in fact we had been sitting outside since 09.00 and we could not enter due to an external door that was locked. It made for our first encouter to be a little stressful as we felt that we were being 'dressed down'. Seemed a littlkke unprofessional. Howevr the apartment was perfect, clean bright comfortable and very well situated. We would book again for sure but hopefully with a polite and happy key exchange, five stars for the apartment though.

We loved the Vienna Star apartments. Our apartment was in a quiet residential neighborhood just a short walk away from all amenities and the u-bauhn. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. We used the fridge, dishes, toaster and tea kettle. Be sure to arrange an accurate arrival time for the apartment manager to give you a key. Also, the number given by Expedia was not the manager but the owner, which was inconvenient since it had only printed my original confirmation and not the email following that. Overall a very nice place to stay, I would definitely recommend it!

The only recommendation I have is for the hotel to improve the reception staff, they were not as polite as tehy should be, they were not rude at all, just missing a smile. The waiters at the restaurant should stop smoking so much, one of them smelled like an ashtray and interfered with the great experience of the breakfast. Other than that, the rest of the staff was very helpful and nice and the hotel is impecable. At first we thought that it was not close to the center but it's only 5-6 stops from the opera with tram number 71 so it's pretty convenient, especially for the price. The rooms were great, the comfort exceptional. The price of the mini bar- very reasonabe. I would deffintely go back if I have to go to Vienna again.

So it is not a hotel exactly it is more like an apartment you rent for a few days, but it is not hard to get to and it is worth every cent. The place is very clean and well prepared with room for up to 6 people and a full kitchen. If you need a place to relax this is the perfect place and a short walk away from the Palace Gardens. Great service too. Great for Students on a budget.

We arrived later than expected and found the door locked. A passerby unlocked the door (?) but this just revealed a dark entrance to an old building with a number of letterboxes of the tenants - found a light switch and I held the door ajar while my wife called the hotel on the phone. Turned out the pension is on a higher floor - loved the lift which is old and funky. The owner gave us a really friendly welcome and everything was just perfect. The location is close to the centre and quite convenient to the trams and metro. We really loved our time at Pension Dormium.
