“The best European Hotel we ever stayed in”

The staff was exceptional, the rooms were large by European standards. It was close to almost everything, but far enough away to be in the main tourist area. Almost all sights are within walking. The breakfast buffet was great. If there was an issue, it was handled immediately and with professionalism. I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Vienna. We stayed 8 days and really enjoyed it.

Getting around
The trams, subways and buses are convenient. Buy the 72 hour Vienna Vard and the city is yours to explore.

“Perfect Location!”

This hotel was the perfect smaller hotel that was off the "hotel chain" path . . . very good service, location close to city center and excellent Metro location. Breakfast buffet was really good, with fresh food and nice choices, and the small bar area was perfect. Def recommend!

“Well situated”

Great room, with breakfast, unfortunately Did not get WIFI signalment room has to travel to reception to use the Internet, nearly missed flight because wake up call never happened despite two reminders the day before, missed prepaid taxi and deposit.

“Will Stay at K&K again in Vienna”

we enjoyed the stay at K&K Vienna and highly recommend this hotel, we will stay at K&K again. Facility/room: the room size is OK using European hotel standard, the bathroom has shower but no bath tub. Overall, the room is very clean and comfortable, but not luxury. K&K provides very good value for the price you pay when compared with other Luxury hotel in Vienna. Internet connection in room is free, has Wi-Fi. and the price include full breakfast buffet which is high quality and very good varieties. Services: the hotel employees are very friendly & responsive. Location: this is the biggest plus. The hotel location is very conveniently located, 300 ft (3 minute walk) to subway station Schottenring, which has subway line U4 and U2. Take U2 to museums and downtown in 5 minutes. Great neighborhood, 20+ restaurants/cafes in walking distance, has convenient store 1 block away, 20 minutes pleasant walk to St Stephen's Cathedral/downtown. Vienna's public transport is extremely convenient and clean, we bought 3 days subway pass which can ride all subways/buses/trolley. 1 day pass is also available.

Getting there
How to get to the hotel from Vienna Airport: At the Airport, take the CAT train, none stop, 16 minutes to "City Air Terminal" at Wien Mitte. Short 1 minute walk into subway U4 station (Wien Mitte), take U4 to Schottenring( which is 2 stops north). Then the hotel is 300ft (3 minutes walk) south west of the station. When return to airport, you can check in your luggage at the "City Air Terminal" then take CAT train to airport. CAT ticket price is 10 Euro/person one way, or 18 Euro for round trip. Kids 15 years or younger ride free

Info about tipping in Vienna: Most restaurant/cafe are not expecting tips. OK to leave small changes as tips. Our observation is that most of the local customers (or European customers) are not tipping at all. This is quite different compared with in US where 15%-20% tipping are the norm.

“Good place to stay”

This hotel is conveniently located, near many Vienna sights, shopping, restaurants, etc. Like most Vienna hotels, it's built into an old structure but is very modern inside. The rooms are very nice and comfortably large for a European hotel. I go to Vienna periodically and have stayed in a variety of hotels there. Most are not worthy of a second stay, but the K&K Palais is one I would return to.

“Very good hotel”

I would definitely stay again in this hotel. It has a very good location, very friendly staff and the breakfast buffet is amazing.

“KK Palais a good experience”

Nice little hotel not far from the center of Vienna. Probably takes about 7 minutes to walk to the main shopping street. Room was very nice with top quality bed and linen. There was a safe and mini bar in the room also. Breakfast was very good with a selection of hot and cold dishes. Allin all a good hotel and value for money

“Nice Hotel, Short Walk from Most Attractions”

We liked most everything about this hotel. It was clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast was nice, and it was a short walk to most attractions (about 10-15 minutes) and just two blocks away from the nearest underground station. If we had to complain about anything it would be that staff at the front desk could sometimes be a little surly (though this may just be a part of the culture). Also, wireless Internet access wasn't available in the rooms, meaning that you had to plug in or go downstairs.

“K&K Palais Vienna, Austria. Home away from home.”

This is my 4th extended stay at the K&K Palais in Vienna. My average stay is two weeks, which can be a long time in a hotel. But the staff at the K&K make you feel at home. They knew me by name and treated me as an old friend that had come back to visit. I always request the same room, and they had it ready for me when I walked in the lobby at 10AM after a long flight from DC. My bags were taken to the room and the whole checking in to the room process lasted less then 5 minutes. The staff is more then willing to be of assistance, and language is not a problem. The breakfast is very good, big selection, and is served until 11AM. There is also a small bar in the lobby where you can order sandwiches etc. throughout the day. Location is perfect. Safe and quiet yet within a few minutes walking you are in the center of Vienna and very close to 2 UBahn stations. A variety of restaurants are also within walking distance. The hotel staff is very well informed, and will be able to get you to anywhere you want to go. Thanks again to Danielle, Lismarie, and Frank, and the rest of the staff for making me feel so comfortable. Rooms have A/C and heat that you control.

Area recommendations
The Rudolfsplatz area, where the hotel is located is perfect because of it's proximity to Stephansplatz. This is the First District where all the museums, Opera, Hofburg Palace, fantastic shopping and dining are located. It is pedestrian friendly, and also easy access to the UBahn, which is easy to travel on.

“Lovely hotel”

A truly beautiful little hotel - of the 4 hotels used during our trip to Austria, this was by far the nicest. Breakfast was lovely. I wish I'd been able to stay a little longer.
