Nice and Cozy
This is a nice little hotel. Its not fancy, but it is clean and cozy. They also offer a nice varied breakfast that includes hot eggs and Vienna sausage. The staff is very friendly. I would stay here again.

Great for long term stay at very great price
It’s a small hotel but definitely too good for its price. The staff was kind, and the breakfast was good. Lot of nice cafes and restaurants nearby.

Very nice hotel for a few days in Vienna. Very good contact with a nice guy in the reception. Simple but good breakfast. Very good wifi.

Breakfast, WiFi, staff helpfulness was good. But room (301) smelled like a sewer, which housekeeping clearly knew about as kept opening the windows even though it’s winter. Also constantly woken by lift machinery next to room. Pillow was a joke, no deeper than a sheet of paper, better hotels out there in same price bracket.

Great value for money. Close to public transport into the city and friendly staff. The only negative I would mention is the lack of air conditioning. The room was quite warm in summer.

Excellent location for walking to the heart of Vienna or taking a tram (on Alsergasse). Utterly lovely to hear chamber music of high quality being practiced in the dining room during the day. Friendly, courteous, and very helpful staff. I wish there were one accessible wall outlet in the room near furniture (a chair, a table, a shelf) for ease of charging a smartphone or other device.Or for that matter, a USB port in the desk lamp or otherwise placed on the desk.Truly a gem. I hope to return.

Great location, uncomfortable room
The hotel is affordable an located within walking distance of a large number of attractions in central Vienna. On the downside, my room had a single bed, and so small, it would not be able to fit in a double bed. The bathroom was also one of the smallest I have seen in any hotel.

Very nice and spacious room, clean and in good condition. The bed was a bit soft, but not worse than the average hotel bed. Location is nice, quiet yet within walking distance to the city center.

The room was not the same as shown on the photo during the booking. Some single rooms (one bed) are obviously equipped with very small bathrooms. Tall, broad-shouldered and more obese people could find it difficult to enter. However, location is perfect, the city center can be reached by foot in 20-30 minutes.

Good value hotel not far from the City centre.
The hotel is near tram bus and metro routes, and it only takes a few minutes to reach the city centre. The location is also fairly quiet and there are bars and restaurants nearby.

Hotel near City Center
We had a wonderful stay at the Korotan Hotel. The staff was very attentive and helpful when needed. The morning breakfast had most taste covered, and very good restaurants were nearby to walk to. We would recommend the Hotel whole heartily.

The best budget hotel I have found in Vienna
Proper modern purpose-built hotel, rather than the usual 3rd floor of an apartment block. 15 min walk to the Rathaus and Ringstrasse. 100m to tram 5 mins to Underground. In Josephstadt - a vibrant old neighbourhood full of bars, shops, restaurants, live music and theatre. Brilliant breakfast - the usual Vienna fair of roll, cheese slice and spam, but also plenty more - hot and cold savouries, cerials, choice of breads and toast, cakes etc. Receptionist very friendly and especially helpful. Case storage facility. Everywhere spotless. Adequate bedroom with two single beds pushed together (can be separated), comfortable bed, large TV. large work table with table lamp and chair. Adequate storage and a good bathroom. Only downside was the design of the windows - they stick out over the road like a sort of suspended window ledge - great for views along the street, but the soundproofing does suffer a bit. However, it is a quiet side road so I had no problem sleeping. Overall great value for money and I will certainly use this hotel again when I next am in Vienna.

Nice hotel close to city centre
The hotel was central, just a short tram ride from tourist areasl. Good breakfast, friendly helpful staff, ugly decor but comfortable enough. No extras ( no fridge, no iron etc) but would definitely recommend as an affordable handy place to stay.

Functional, comfy, and Clean. Just as described.
The Korotan hotel does exactly what it says in the tin. It is comfortable and clean with no frills, but that is okay. The bed was super comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower had good pressure. I arrived during a major heatwave and the staff provided each room with fans, lighter sheets, and tips on how to keep the room cool - all of which worked (and I was on the top floor). I really appreciated this gesture. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise! Loads of nice bread, meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit, etc. The Korotan is located in one of the most vibrant districts in Vienna and one can easily walk to the First District in about 15 - 20 minutes (or get a tram in 5 minutes). There are numerous excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood and you can easily walk to Yppenplatz or Neubau for even more options.
