Travellers Hotel

Location was good for this hotel! Great rooms with huge bathroom however an unexpected 40 euro charge for cleaning at the end wasn't ideal! Great cheap hotel for travellers interrailing passing through Vienna

Vienna

Pros: friendly staffs
Cons: wi-fi connection
Location: it's convenient to tourist attractions and to the airport.
no change of towels, no everyday cleaning. Also, poor wi-fi connection. We have 3 people in the room and can only have the wi-fi one at a time. It would be better if all these were noted at time of booking.

Nice apartment, but had its faults.

Posted Sep 16, 2012
Pros: Convenience from the airport, the train and to the city.
Cons: The charge of 40 Euros on the day of our arrival.
Location: Good.
When booking in we were surprised to be asked for 40 Euros for cleaning the apartment. This came as quite a surprise as usually this is part of what you pay for the apartment. When one stays in a hotel you don't get asked for cleaning fees!!! The apartment when we arrived was "clean" although there was dust around several areas of the room. When we tried to use the telephone, it didn't work and when we got somebody to help us, she couldn't, said she would get the boss, and then we never heard from either of them again. The external doorbell to the apartment didn't work nor the one on the door of the apartment. On the penultimate day of our stay, we arrived back at the apartment to find the exterior door was open, the door to our apartment was not locked, all the windows to our apartment were left opened.

Decent apartments

Clean nice looking apartments. Relatively close to the center of town. A very strict manager that does not go out of his way to please you. No air condition after 10 pm. Very hot in the summer.

Convenient Lovely Hotel in Vienna

Posted Dec 21, 2011
Pros: The decoration of Hotel was lovely
Cons: The extra money they tried to charge me was unpleasent.
Location: Great location, very close to public transportation. But not at the heart of center.
The hotel was quite lovely. It was clean, 5 minutes away from S-bahn station. the room was beautiful yet a bit small for 3 people. The only problem was that the staff tried to charge me extra 15euros for cleaning the room. I couldn't understand why because I booked the room from expedia and there was no indication of such an extra, so I refused to pay and they agreed. But they were planning to get the 15 euros extra just for 1 night. And I couldn't use the internet, there was a problem and staff just ignored me at night. Overall it was pleasent, I recommend my friends to go.

"Self catering at its best"

Posted Jun 10, 2011
Security of hotel impressive. Close to good eating houses and transport and for the energetic , which we were, an easy walk to "town". Quiet residential neighbourhood, with a very good Spa supermarket only 10 minutes walk away for your self catering requirements.

Cant wait to go back with my family

i was attending a mtg in a hotel a block away- it was full. On expedia, i found this wonderful flat in the neighborhood, close to the train and more for the money. It was easy to access via train from the airport, a very reasonable ride. It is only a block and a half from the train station if you know where you are going...check your map before walking- it is a straight shot but the street is a smaller street runnning parallel to the main thoroughfare. After check in I hopped the train as suggested and went to the market and bought some cheese and fresh fruit. Then I walked. What a wonderful place to visit and walk and enjoy.
