“Old good standard”
This hotel is 25 year old, so it comes from the last century when everything was nicer :-) and safer. Great staff.
“Clean modern hotel but service needs improvement.”
I asked for a room without a connecting door to the room next door. They sent me to 2 rooms that had connecting doors. The wait staff at the lobby restaurants were not very service oriented. One restaurant made me wait for 5 minutes before even giving me a menu. So I left and went to the sports bar. When they gave me my bill, I gave them my credit card. They made a fuss because they said they made the bill to be paid in cash and asked if I could pay in cash. Apart from this, hotel was nice. Clean and in good location.
“convenient”
Lots of advantages regarding location, neighborhood etc.. Some issues: haggard staff at check-in; noisy room from adjacent guests; inconsistent cleanliness of the room.
“Great Location in Vienna”
This hotel was in a great location in Vienna. Walking distance to all the major sites inside the Ringstrasse. Beautiful inside. The standard room was big enough for my family of 4 to spread out and move around. Get the included breakfast buffet if you can - biggest buffet I've ever seen for breakfast and very good.I would stay here again if in Vienna.
“Fantastic for families”
The Marriott Vienna is located in a fantastic area. Its on the Ring area, facing Stadt Park, a fantastic park for joggers, walks and kids. The tram is right infront of the hotel gate, takes you to museums and walkways in minutes. Tube 3 and 4 stations are 5 mns walk. Stephans Platz is 10 minutes walk. Hotel service is great. The swimming pool was exceptionally helpful in keeping the kids entertained especially after the daily long walks in musemus and parks. All in all well deserved 5 star rating. Vienna itself is a fantastic place for all ages, very safe and Austrians are very friendly and helpful.
“Good location”
Great location, price is high.
“Great location, friendly staff, perfect for family”
The hotel is located next to a large park, just 10 mins walk from the airport express train station. Trams stop right outside the hotel. The service was great. They had our room ready at 11am - handy as we took the overnight flight and our toddler had a meltdown. The Filipino staff at the door are especially warm, remembering us each day, and on the last day gave him little toys. The room has a king size comfortable bed (hard to find "real" kings in European hotels), and an enormous bay window looking directly over the park. We watched the Vienna city marathon from our room one morning. The windows are soundproof. The Internet is not free but they'll let you use the business lounge for online check-in without charge. They have a medium sized indoor pool too.
“Good Hotel Great Service”
The hotel is 4 to 4.5 start but customer service was in keeping with 5 star. Great location for tourist and lot of conveniences for business travelers. Hotel will meet your purpose as a place to stay while you visit Vienna. No valet parking but there is a parking garage on lower floors of the hotel. We traveled with kids (8 years and 5 years) - the pool was a good distraction for them. We had a great stay and recommend it as safe bet for anyone visiting Vienna.
“Good enough just a litle far from down town”
good enough more expensive than his value
“Excellent Service”
Asked for early check-in due to early morning arrival at airport - was not guaranteed to get it; but when we arrived the Marriott Vienna gave us immediate accommodations. We were quite satisfied with our room and our stay. Excellent housekeeping service.
