Comfortable suite

Posted Jun 16, 2014
On main shopping street so very convenient. Not far from city centre. Great suite. Beware of pedestrianisation works going on at moment - noisy. Double glazing in our suite, 4th floor at front, was not good at keeping noise out. Would still go back though.

Good hotel in great location

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Space, comfort
Check-in was easy, room was spacious and reasonably clean, with more than enough facilities including separate large bedroom, toilet and bathroom, breakfast bar, TV etc, fridge, cooking area and utensils etc. I had the breakfast which was very good indeed, but a bit overpriced at E17 each. Quiet room, but it was a public holiday when I stayed, so it may be noisier at other times. Lots of good local restaurants and bars, brilliant public transport, and great location. Friendly and helpful staff. What more can I stay!!.

Spacious rooms near Westbahn train station

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Price, big clean rooms, comfy beds, location at U (underground) Zieglerplatz and 2 stops to Volkstheater, long 1 block to Museum Quartier, lots of re
Cons: Put up a few pictures in hallways, elevator area and put the laundry carts away.
Location: Active shopping area w lots of restaurants, access to U and train station
Our 2 rooms for 3 of us were large, well laid out. Had pull out sofa, bar area w electric pot for heating water, tea bags, instant coffee packs, small refrigerator and desk. All tile bathroom, tub/shower very clean, new. Room 405 faced interior courtyard. Hallways absolutely devoid of decoration, and large service cart always parked at elevator, making it feel like a service area. No English TV station. Also, when we inquired about wi fi, were told it was 9 euros, and receptionist failed to say there was free Basic service which we found to be adequate for emails, searching Internet. Small lobby nice, small..room for 2 chairs. Ate at Mia Cucina ( right out front door, 1block, turn right ) which was very good. Bertolotti gelato just down the street, and McDonalds, grocery store across street and lots of eating options. Right by underground, and about 5 blocks to Westbahn. Price was right.

Great Location

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Location. Staff. Room size. Price.
Cons: A proper double bed would most likely be well received from everyone. Perhaps a bigger refrigerator. Maybe a tv in the sitting room.
Location: Shopping was everywhere. Loads of restaurants. Three old churches in walking distance. Haydn House nearby. Not too far from Hapbsburg Palace.
First off, the location of the hotel is in pretty good proximity to the central sites, or at least the edge of the central sites of Vienna. You could easily walk to these, or, if you'd rather, there's a subway stop practically outside the front door. The street it's on has numerous stores and restaurants, even on most of the side streets. You could eat something different every night and not go more than a couple blocks from the hotel. The room was large, but it kind of had wasted space. It was a suite with one room as a sitting room with kitchenette and the other the bedroom. The sitting room had a desk, couch and chair, but no tv or other distraction. The kitchenette came with a microwave and a mini-fridge, but it was mostly full of mini-bar items. You could still fit some beverages inside. The bed was two singles pushed together, so there was a slot down the middle. This sometimes came into play if you did not lie straight and would be better if it wasn't there, but I pretty sure it didn't prevent any sleep. The buildings along the street are tall and voices echo up, so sometimes you can clearly hear people making noise on the street, but it wasn't to all hours and did not disturb too much. The front desk spoke different languages depending on who was there and were very helpful with recommendations and directions. Overall, this was a fine place to visit Vienna from.

Great Hotel And Location, But....

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: Location to the metro, popular shopping street, very polite staff.
Cons: Once construction is done everything will be perfect.
Location: Plenty of shopping and Metro Line U3 is close by to take you to all the popular Vienna tourist locations.
We had the unfortunate luck of staying at this hotel when street construction was being done. Work outside started at 6am and went till 2 or 3 pm, five days of the week. If it wasn't for the construction I would rate this hotel higher, it wasn't the hotels fault but I would of liked to have been warned and asked if I wanted a room higher up or away from the construction.

Handy for the shops

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Good location Friendly staff
Cons: Decor a bit 80s No English tv channels Room difficult to cool down (and it wasn't that hot..)
Location: Right in the main shopping street and only a bit of a walk to museums etc
Good sized room, if a bit hot most of the time. Air con only seemed to waft warm air even if turned right down. Good clean room, if decor a bit dated.
