“Satisfied with Hotel”

We were very satisfied with this Hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Our only concern was the distance it is from many of the sights we wanted to see, But, it was an interesting walk to the main sights and there is public transportation. There are many shops and eateries on the way to the old city. I would stay here again.

Area recommendations
I would suggest staying inside the Ring.

“Just Right!”

Tourhotel Mariahilf was just what we needed. My partner and I are not into 5-star accommodation. We prefer to spend our vacation money on sight-seeing, eating and good times. Hotels are for sleeping, showering and resting. Tourhotel was perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were centrally located and could come and go easily. I do wish they had a better internet connection. We paid to check in online, but their setup was very slow. Fortunately, there was a restaurant next door with better internet options. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers.

Area recommendations
There is something for everyone in every part of the city. The subway/tram system allows you to get around without any issues, and quickly. Just explore!!!
When to go
Mid November is an excellent time to travel to Vienna. It is off season, so we were able to get great deals on travel/hotel and sight-seeing. The weather is moderately cold, but not at all a show stopper. We never complained.

“very friendly staff , location is excellent if you are using the train”

the hotel is closely located to the west train station walking distance is about 10 minutes, the reception is very friendly and helpful, going to the city center by metro is very easy its just a 7 minute straight walk the station and you can reach the city center in just 15 minutes the latest. the hotel is reasonably priced and clean.

“Not impressed”

Firstly, only 30 minutes access to the wifi per 24 hours was embarrassing in this era. So called queen bed is like tiny bed for patients in hospitals, barely one can lay down. Very small room without air-condition, or fan. That was extremely hot inside until midnight which was very uncomfortable. Neighborhood seems to be street girls area, embarrassing. About 10 minutes walk to closest train station. I would not recommend someone who wants to have a decent stay in such nice city Vienna.

Area recommendations
Of course city center would be the right place to stay in Vienna, as there will be opportunity to enjoy more even in the midnight.

“Best front desk staff in Vienna”

The location on Mariahilfe Strasse is very convenient to the West Bahnhof. Mariahilfe Strasse has great shopping ... it is a bit of a walk downtown but on our first day we just walked down Mariahilfe Strasse browsing in stores all the way to the Albertina Museum. The front desk staff at this hotel was wonderful ... extremely helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our room was very large and clean. The door key is not like any other hotel I have stayed in ... once you get the hang of it there is no issue getting into your room but be prepared to possibly make several attempts your first time before you get the door to open. I would stay here again primarily for 2 reasons ... the front desk staff and the convenience of this hotel to the West Bahnhof.

“I would go back only if it's cleaner”

The reception desk was helpful, however one of the ladies was not too friendly. The gentleman was very nice, friendly and always helpful. The housekeeping lady barely came to clean my room. I had to ask three time for new towels and an extra pelow. The room had dustbites which the morning of my last stay, I broke out with hives, which I went to the pharmcy near by so I can get something for the itching and the pharmacist told me there were dust-bites. I had go to the airport so I had no time to notify the hotel recepitionist. The housekeeping lady needs to clean each and every room, dust, change bed sheets, vacuume, clean the bathrooms & change towels on daily basis. I was upset for the fact that I had to ask three times for new towels and pelows.

Area recommendations
The entire city is beautiful, so I have no specific recommendations but to see the entire city if they can.
When to go
The best time to go is late Spring and Fall.
Getting around
Book your tours in advance, they have taxis to get around, public transportation is available all the time and are near all the hotels and shops, etc.
Must see
Make sure you book your tours in advance because they do book fast, must see the entire city and even outside the city, such as Budapest, Prag, etc., make sure you have a valid biometric passport or visas for the other cities. Have your cameras fully charged.
Shopping
The have very uniq and absolutely wonderful stores to shop. They have many international stores as well and their hospitality is wonderful. The employees are very friendly and helpful.
Dining
The entire city has amazing dining areas and food to eat. The strip of the streets have restaurants, fast food restaurants, Asian restaurants, Cafe shops, bakeries, etc.
Family-friendly activities
visiting all the parks, Palaces and many historic events.
Nightlife
Just walking down the streets of the city, you'll find many places to hangout, each and every place is nice, clean and friendly.
Events and shows
the Opera, the art crafting, the buterfly exibit, etc.

“Traveler's Best Option”

This is the right place to stay. The hotel is located a five minute walk from a main transportation hub. Westbanhoff. You take the S7 train from the airport for 3.60 euros to the U3 subway line headed toward Ottakring. Get off at Westbanhoff. Take a right down Mariahilfer Strasse. The hotel is on the right side of the street - it's about five minutes. The hotel staff are just five stars. Helpful friendly and genuinely kind. They speak English and they are just great. No worries. There is internet service in the lobby if you don't have a laptop. The room was clean, pleasant, and modern. I was almost never in the room as I was sightseeing but the place was nice. Mariahilfe Strasse is a main shopping street and you can find almost any kind of store along it. This hotel is halfway between the Hofburg and its museums and Schonbrunn Palace. Both are worth seeing. I never ate the breakfast at the hotel. They have a breakfast bar. I should really stress here that the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. After nine hours of flying and an hour in from the airport it made all the difference in the world to me to have a good reception at this hotel, and I did. Nice lobby too. There was no tub. I didn't care but some people might. The room looked out on an inner court that was lovely. This is a good choice if you are a traveler looking for a good solid hotel. I very highly recommend this hotel. There were no unpleasant surprises and the staff is excellent.

“Fine hotel for price”

We stayed here our last night in Vienna. It was rated as 4 star, but definitely didn't seem to be that level. Room was clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, but it was close to West Bahnhof, and easy to find. Room was clean, roomy, and bathroom clean. We booked our room for $85 and right after the price went down to $64! I'd say for $64 I would have loved the hotel even more. There was supposedly only 30 mins of internet access, but we got the code and were able to use wireless in our room, and there was no limit. So I'd suggest checking on that. Time limit may be just for use of the hotel lobby computer? For the same price I'd stay at Das President (free internet, minibar - which can be used as an in-room fridge, smaller rooms, but just as clean and comfy).
