Top Lage, alles ist super erreichbar

Posted Apr 15, 2015

Great hotel on discount

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Free Wi-Fi
Location: Stadtpark with the famous Johann Strauss statue is right across the street. Opera is walk-able 8 min away. St Stephans 8 min away.
This is our favorite hotel in Vienna. 5 star hotel overlooking the city park. With the strong USD, we were able to get in for $170 a night. Cannot beat that. Great facilities including swimming pool, fitness club, and sauna. The location is very good. Tram stop right in front, two metro stations closeby. And the train station less than 10 minutes walk. If you are a Marriott club member, they will wavier the internet fee (10-14 euro per day).

Pros: Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Courteous, helpful and efficient staff. Good location
Location: Great location. City centre, Opera House, Hofburg Palace, Parliament, parks all within short walk. Easy access to trams and underground stations.
Friendly efficient staff. The hotel delivered everything expected from a Marriott hotel.

Good location and that's the only nice thing about

Posted Apr 11, 2015
The location of the hotel is good, the hotel itself is old building, room gave me a feeling a bit of depression atmosphere. The stuff won't smile and be nice until you tips them, not all of them but 80% yes. The hotel has a shop inside but be careful if you have children bcs cars cost there around 350-380 euro ( in other shop same car might cost 100 euro). Don't think will come back to this hotel again.

Could do better

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: not much
Cons: They could send bags to the right room, drop the wifi charge and improve the wifi service
Location: Not too far to the Opera but quite a long walk to the Kunsthistorisches museum
On arrival by car there was nowhere to park legally at the front of the hotel. I checked in nevertheless and a man took my luggage, was tipped, and was clearly told where to send it while I parked the car. Two hours later I rang the desk to ask where it was and was told 'we cannot send it without a tag' - I had never been given one. I pointed out that each case had a personal nametag on it. They then sent up someone else's bag! 30 minutes later the bags finally arrived having been sent to a room 2 floors above me! The hotel charges for wifi which hardly anyone does these days, yet the connexion was awful and kept dropping out, unlike the one a day later in a much cheaper hotel in Coburg. Could do better!

Ottimo hotel in posizione ideale

Posted Apr 8, 2015

Family Weekend In Vienna

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The best parts of our stay at the Marriott could be summed up in two words: staff and breakfast.
Cons: Stop charging guests for internet use. This is a bit insulting in today's day and age. They don't charge for electricity, so...
Location: The city park. The old city center. The opera.
We chose the Vienna Marriott for our Easter weekend city break for its location and reputation. The location is near perfect: a five minute walk to the city's main pedestrian walking streets, the opera and a stone's throw from the city park. The staff were warm, welcoming and the facilities nothing short of a five star experience.
