trip to visit local colleges

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Location, price, breakfast and staff.
Cons: Update!! Improve towels! More outlets.
Location: Near Great Falls Park, DC, lots of places to eat on Maple Ave.
We weren't spending much time at the room, so my main goal was convenience at an affordable price and a breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving advice for getting into DC during rush hour, making sure we knew about breakfast, giving extra towels when asked. The breakfast was kept well stocked both the morning we ate early and the morning we ate towards the end. The breakfast was fine, juice, bagels, donuts, coffee, tea, milk choices, cereals. A non kid cereal would have been nice. The room had no clock a major inconvenience! The shower was great, but we only got 3 skimpy bath towels. I got more, but then when the maid came she took the spares! Some of the pillows were good, some were flat. There was no frig or microwave, which I had expected there to be. Not a big deal, but I had trouble finding the ice machine. The room was clean, but worn. There was a shortage of accessible plugs and the tv was small and not a flatscreen. We were a bit concerned about a very loud argument that took place near our room the first night, but no other incident occurred. All outside noises could be heard easily in the room.

Ok

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Price was good to stay , not much facility but ok.
Cons: Break fast.
Location: Location was descent from tidal basin and we were able to reach in 30 mins.
We took 2 rooms , the one in which we stayed was ok kind , but the other room in which my friends stayed was not good enough , the bath room door was not closing .Bath room was dirty. Break fast was really bad, it had milk which was like water.

Cheap price you can find $49 per night on expedia sometime, they really need to replace old plug in wall outlet, keep loose when I charging my phone.

Pretty Good Cheap Hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: I loved that they had a could metro to drive to and it was cheap.
Cons: I thought the noise could be improved. Also two times the maids knocked on the door at 9 am luckily I was up but that pretty early to be cleaning.
Location: The area is great. Beautiful big houses. If you like to bike there is a bike trail that close which is pretty nice.
It's an descent hotel to stay at. I would stay here again.

Nice Hotel Just Minutes from Wolf Trap

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: It is clean and the staff is friendly. The idea of having a nice restaurant just steps from the hotel is a selling point as well.
Cons: The whole hotel needs a make-over. The clock in the room did not work and neither did one of the two security locks on the door.
Location: The hotel is minutes from The Barns at Wolf Trap. It is easy driving distance to D.C. and all that it has to offer. Virginia is beautiful as well.
I chose this hotel because of its proximity to The Barns at Wolf Trap. Weather was a consideration and I wanted to be close to the venue. This hotel fit the bill. The Mexican restaurant next to the hotel was very good, and I recommend it very much. This hotel needs a make-over very much. It was very clean, but the furniture is dated and so are the curtains. The security lock (just one of the two security locks) didn't work, but the room was very quiet and I felt safe there. They staff was very nice and friendly. The warm cookies and coffee served in the Lobby in the afternoon was a nice touch. The continental breakfast in the morning was adequate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a bed and a place to shower and change clothes when they will be out and about most of the time. This is not a resort hotel. If the place had not been in such a need of a make-over, it would have rated higher with me, but I can't emphasize enough that it is clean and has a friendly staff. The parking is very easy and checking in and out was very quick.
