excellent service at a great price, attentive staff, comfortable room. I travelled to Lao for a visa run from Thailand, my stay at Hotel Mercure was great, I will be going back for longer than just overnight next time.

“Good hotel for meetings and conferences”

Meeting room facilities quite good, also a well-equipped gym and fairly large pool. They have renovated the coffee shop and it is greatly improved, food quality as well as lay-out. However, the lobby and other public areas, and guest rooms, are still as shabby as I recall - clean but worn. Location reasonably central, right on the highway to the airport, only a 15-20 minute walk to the old downtown area. Central location, good meeting facilities, and large number of rooms means it's a good venue for conferences.

“Boarder Hotel”

I have no idea what they sprayed in this room but it reaked of it everywhere. The kleenexes, bed, etc. It was some kind of bug spray that I know for sure. Besides that, the hotel was enjoyable. Average breakfast but only 3 minutes from friendship bridge.
