Viksdalen is located approximately 190 miles (306 kilometers) from Oslo, the country's capital, and about 75 miles (121 kilometers) from Bergen - Hordaland.
It's a missed chance if you limit your sightseeing to the points of interest in Viksdalen because the whole region is dotted with a treasure-trove of great things to do and see. If you've enough time, head 17 miles (27 kilometers) where you'll find Balestrand. Here you can visit the English Church of St. Olav and Norwegian Glacier Museum (Norsk Bremuseum).
Experience a little culture, learning and lore amid the great outdoors at the region's fascinating open-air exhibits, open-air museums and farms. Whether you're believer or an atheist, you're sure to enjoy at Fjord Norway's churches and other sites of spiritual significance.
