Close to major offices and shopping centerPosted May 13, 2014
Pros: comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet
Cons: Update bathrooms(toilets and tubs)
Location: Pemex and major shopping mall within walking distance
I've stayed at this hotel since the mid 90s when it was the Holiday Inn. The staff is always helpful and nice. The hotel is always in a state of updating, but for the location and excellent staff it is a great hotel.

Hotel is great central location. Hotel doing some renovations but still lacking on some of items due to age of hotel. Service is good.

Good hotel. Great service.Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The service and facilities are top-notch. It isn't as interesting architecturally as other Camino Real hotels, but is very conveniently located.

Worst Hotel that I have been in MexicoPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: Nothing. Only plus they have in location, but this is overshadowed by its terrible quality. Do not use this hotel if there is any option in Villa.
Cons: Everything. This Hotel seems like is bankrupt.
The staff tries to to the best they can, but their number is insufficient. Worst restaurant in any Hotel that I have been so far in Mexico. The food is disgusting, the rooms are very poorly maintained, there is not enough staff for attending the clients, the bar is extremely expensive and the restaurant has no air conditioning. Any other hotel in Villahermosa outperforms this one. The price of the hotel is too high for its overall dismal quality. You have to bee lucky to get the front desk to answer your calls. Normally you have to go down to the front desk to get their attention.

Used to be much betterPosted Apr 29, 2013
We have stayed in this hotel many times and had a very good experience. This was the first time we made a reservation through Expedia and prepaid. We were given a substandard room with no decoration, no bedspreads, etc., which was, apparently, not one of their "redecorated" rooms. We only discovered this because we had to request a room change because of the overwhelming smell of paint during our last night. We were moved to a much better room and, only then, realized the relative poor quality of the room we were originally given. This hotel appears to have lessened in quality over the years. We are frequent visitors to the area and will consider other alternatives going forward.

Chose a different hotelPosted Feb 18, 2013
Cons: musty moldy air
The Hotel is in need of an update. The HVAC system smmell both musty and moldy. The hall way carpeting was wet/damp. Not what I am used to when staying at Camino Real
