Pros: The property looks clean, breakfast was decent, room spacious and clean, and it is close to highway, shops, restaurants--great location! Cons: The front desk staff was not inviting--I walked in and no one was at the counter, then I went up to the counter and someone came out from the back and came up to the counter, but she did not greet or say anything. I waited a moment and I was the one that greeted her instead of her greeting me. I broke the ice by asking what she needed from me to check in. Then she finally spoke and was cordial. The room door was very dingy, dirty and made me feel like I was in a cheap dirty motel--the white door should be scrubbed clean or repainted--I felt "icky" opening the door. Fortunately, the room was clean, however, it did smell like musty and probably needs to be aired out. I put the trashcan on the door to crack the door open and turned on the fan to circulate the stale air and create a clean air draft. The room we stayed in faced the pool and the light was very bright to sleep and the curtains left a gap and the bottom so we couldn't make the room darker, wish the curtains covered that.

Hotel was clean and staff were nice. My only issue was a guy that was not a guest was using the lobby computer at night. The way he looked at me made me feel unsafe, as I was using the smoking section out by the pool. The way the staff acted toward him made it seem like the guy comes in a lot. The front desk lady was very nice at check in. Lots of food options very close which was very nice!

The morning breakfast options were limited and underwhelming. The presence of homeless people on the property made us feel insecure. Aside from that, there were multiple instances of cockroaches present in our room.

My family of five spent the night at the Holiday Inn and we were seriously disappointed that a family of like 7 or 8 people were allowed to stay in one room next to us. They had about 5 or 6 children and they continued to slam their doors and yell and scream until nearly 1am. I finally got out of bed, and got dressed and went to the front desk to notify the staff (as we were on 1st floor). I could literally hear the screaming and slamming doors as I spoke to the front desk. They were uninterested and said they’d “let them know” and went back outside to smoke. Terrible experience with no sleep for my family!

Parking up front and around the property. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice and courteous. The room had coffee, fridge, microwave, iron/board and hairdryer. The breakfast was adequate but lacking, but this is my personal taste maybe not someone elses. Overall, I’d stay again.

I was in town for business and I would probably stay again everything was fine. The staff were friendly but the area was a little sketch. I am not familiar with Tulare. The breakfast was average. The hotel was near an outlet mall and movie theater which was convenient to kill some time. Overall for the money its an okay spot.

Choose a different hotel. Pics are deceiving
Pictures are deceiving, doesn’t look at all as advertised. Average 4.3 stars is not even close. Room was just dirty looking masked by some wood fixtures where tv are hung. Living room tv didn’t work at all. Kitchen area looked dirty with old and chipped cabinets. Caulking all over the room that is very visible. There was no bedding for the disgusting pull out bed/couch. Bathroom had a really bad odor. Overall stay was not as expected and not worth the extra money. Lots of hotels around the area***don’t choose this one****

Quiet stay in the Tulare/Visalia area
Typical Holiday Inn Express experience: comfortable bed, decent soundproofing, clean, good breakfast, all at a reasonable price. What sets this one apart is that it's a bit away from the freeway, so every room should be more quiet. We stayed on the street side and didn't hear much street noise until around 6.
