Volcan is situated 210 miles (338 kilometers) west of the national capital Panama City.
While it may be tempting to limit yourself to just the local sights when visiting Volcan, don't forget, Panama's diverse scenic wonders lie just beyond your doorstep. If you're keen to explore more of the area, head 14 miles (23 kilometers) to Boquete. Here you can pay a visit to the Municipal Park and Boquete Community Players Theater and Events Center.
Bocas del Toro, is another interesting place to discover. It is around 45 miles (72 kilometers) from Volcan and offers a number of interesting things to do and see, like Red Frog Beach, Finca Los Monos Botanical Garden and Bocas Marina. If you're still looking for things to do in the city centre, it's worth investigating La Buga Dive and Surf and Bocas Dive Center before you return to Volcan.
