The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Loved the rain shower head. It’s very conveniently located right beside the lake and train station. Only a few minutes walk to the town center as well.

Hotel convenient to train station and lake. Check in was not smooth as the first room assigned to us reeked of smoke. Fortunately this was quickly remedied and we were moved to another room. Also at the welcome reception there was a bit of a language barrier or misunderstanding as the option to not clean the room wasn’t explained correctly…she told us it wouldn’t be cleaned for 1 day which would have been fine, but it wasn’t cleaned for our entire stay. We did ask to have it cleaned, but it never was. Tip: go up to the pool area and get clean towels from there. The shower stall seal was ineffective and flooded the floor. Hotel rents decent bicycles at a much lower price than the bike rental shops in town. Overall, our stay wasn’t “grand”… was expecting a more luxurious experience for that price.

This property could be a great place. However there was minimal service( we waited at the bar for over 10 min and then left), the toilet didn’t flush well, and there was a hideous black stain on the carpet. What staff were there were nice, and the location, about 2 blocks from the lake, was ideal.

I hated this hotel to be honest. Unless you want to spend a lot of time at the casino I see no reason to stay here. First they made us park about a 1/4 mile from the hotel in a gravel lot when there is a ton of parking right in front of the hotel but we were told that was only for casino guests. They have no where to unload your baggage either so you are expected to walk with all your luggage from the P2 lot. Ridiculous. The bed was as hard as any I’ve ever seen, I could barely stand it, I slept horribly, and my back was killing me the next day. The balcony looks over trash and has no view except of cranes doing construction, which was loud and distracting. The breakfast is expensive so we did not go. There is a very large step into the shower, it sits up at least 9-10 inches, which is very unsafe, especially getting out when wet as there is nothing to hold onto. No English channels or access to Netflix or something on tv (except news). I stayed at 5 hotels on my European vacation and this was by far the worst.

I can assure you that our guests find a lot of reasons why to stay in our hotel as there are many activites to do around. I am not sure what you mean by "made us park" as we have nobody actually instructing our guests where to park on the street. We do advise our guests where to park when they approach as at the reception. Also there is a city and hotel signage point to our parking place, which is about 50 meters from the hotel entrance. We do have an access to arrive right at the entrance to the hotel to unload the luggage and I informed your husband about it on the day of departure. We also offered you a luggage assistance. I am very sorry to see that the information has not obviously been passed to you. I apologize for the fact that you did not find our Sofitel MyBed concept comfortable and you could not sleep well. I am very sorry about that. Our balconies all overlook the park (which is daily cleaned by the city and there is no trash) and there is the famous Opera House visible in the back where they are now building an extention. I am sorry that this caused disturbance to you. Please note that our Breakfast price is in line with the category and with the prices of our competitors. Our bathrooms fulfill all the saftey refulations of Austria and EU. I am sorry that you found the step, (which is needed to protect the water coming our of the shower box) unsafe. Indeed there are only English channels with news on our TVs and our guests have the possibility to connect to the TV through Chromcast and broadcast whatever content from their device. I would like to apologitze to you for all the inconvenience you faced in our hotel and I if you would like to discuss your dissatsfaction further, I am personally at you disposal. Very convenient location, making it easy to explore Bregenz by foot. Right next to the train station, but still quiet and felt safe. Steps away from the pathways along the waterfront. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly. Next time I’m in Bregenz, I’ll book here again!

This is a great hotel. The staff are excellent and so attentive. The facilities are amazing and the spa/sauna services are great. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather for our stay so we made full use of the spa facilities and had a very relaxing stay. Rooms are large and well equipped. It would have been good if the Cast functionality had worked on the TV, but that is not vitally important. Location is excellent with only a short walk to restaurants and shopping, plus the promenade next to the lake is beautiful. Parking is very reasonable and easy to navigate. Overall great stay with Grand Hotel. I would definitely recommend.

Neither lakeside nor lake view despite claims on accor
Whenever I book a hotel, I always look at both hotels.com and the hotel's own website, in this case accor.com, in order to get a full picture. Hotels.com correctly makes no mention of "lake view," but accor clearly indicates that even the lowest room category (Classic) offers either lake view or city view. I mistakenly assumed that the hotel's site was more complete and happily booked on hotels.com anticipating a lovely 3 day stay on the beautiful Bodensee. I was thrillled at the prospect of relaxing & gazing at the lovely lake from my room for hours on end. I booked 5 months in advance. Upon arrival, I repeated my request at check-in for a lake view room as indicated in the "special requests" section of my hotels.com reservation. I was advised that no such views existed! After communicating with management, I was advised that the accor website should have stated "lake side," instead of "lake view," but that is also false as there are huge 10 story buildings between the lake and the 3 story hotel. I received merely an apology from the hotel -- no free breakfast, no upgrade, no discount, no voucher for a future visit, nothing. They already had a guarantee of my payment & were apparently not interested in making amends for their false advertising. So, a fail on customer service where they had a chance to attempt to make up for their initial failure. I will definitely return to Bregenz but never to the Mgallery. FYI, this Mgallery was formerly branded a Mercure.

Bregenz festival staying at The Grande
Miss understanding at check in as the receptionist didn’t catch my name. If he had taken the passport it would have been much simpler and not stressful. The air conditioning was not good and the nights were very uncomfortable. There were no draws for underwear or t.shirts! Considering we used our bonus nights for this Hotel we were very disappointed with the room. We were above the car park entrance where cars were cleaned each morning so to compensate for the poor air conditioning we were unable to open the window. The room was very clean. However to have used our bonus nights for this accommodation we are very disappointed and disillusioned with Hotels.com. We didn’t receive any other bonuses and we are considering whether we should continue to use Hotels.com if this is the quality of accommodation that is given by the Hotel. We had one drink and didn’t use any of the facilities in the Hotel. Overall very disappointing.

This was a great hotel! Excellent location, rooms were very large, super clean, nice shower with great amenities. The bar happy hour was a nice touch as well! I’d like to specifically state how great and accommodating the staff was. They went out of their way to assist us with finding a Covid test for our trip home. This included detailed directions to the test site, assisting with translation and printing the necessary forms. We hope to return soon and bring back some our friends!

Fabulously comfortable
The beds are INCREDIBLE. The pool and sauna were great too. We did ask for our room not to be cleaned as we were only there two nights but it was cleaned anyway.

Great Business Hotel by Lake Constance
Good business-like hotel that’s clean and comfortable. Good breakfast service. Great front desk Service in English and German. 5 minute walk to the Bregenz train station with daily trains to Switzerland and Germany. By the lakeside promenade with easy access to biking.

Super find-city and hotel!
Very nice hotel! Friendly staff that we met,like Daisy! Great bed, great location, quiet, windows open fully, Prosecco upon arrival! Ate around the corner, dinner was great, the breakfast they offered wasn't, at 10am. Definitely we will be back! Going to check out the casino. Looking for another good rate. Beautiful city and park on site!

Really great place to stay near the lake
Really beautiful hotel. The staff were very nice and our stay was comfortable. The location is next to the lake which makes it convenient and the opera theatre which is in the lake is 2 mins away by walking.

Convenient location. Rooms are nice and very clean. the noise proofing between the rooms in unfortunately not very good. We were able to overhear conversations and the TV from the room next door throughout the night.

Hotel under construction and noisy. Location is hard to find as it is hidden behind train station away from city activities. A/C did not work well. Plenty of air but warm. Book somewhere else. Have stayed at Mercure hotels before this was very disappointing

The very best location for 3 Lander Marathon.
Very happy with room. Received a free upgrade to 3rd floor. Casino next door was an added bonus and ended up paying for entire stay! Free Parking was very much appreciated.

We have stayed here twice as it is really close to the opera and rail station. The only drawback is the air conditioning which is very poor and as we only stay in the summer the room gets unbearably hot at night.

Nice hotel very close to the lake. Staff is very friendly and professional, room clean and comfort. Parking is 50 meters from hotel and is paid (7 euro per day). Overall there is no reason, why not stay in hotel
