75 miles (121 kilometers) to the north of South Bohemia, is Vraz, a great place to delve a little deeper into this fabulous region. If you are coming from the Vaclav Havel Airport in South Bohemia, Vraz is about 11 miles (18 kilometers) to the south.

Vraz is close to a range of colorful South Bohemia’s more popular attractions. Two sights that should be on every visitor’s list is the wonderful Karlstejn Castle and the iconic Golf Club Praha. Two other interesting attractions you’ll find close by Vraz are Ladronka Park and the Hodkovicky Golf and Country Club.

Vraz has a number of museums, exhibits and show venues nearby that allow visitors to really get a feel for the area. Walk through the exhibits and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Lobkowicz Palace in Prague, Mucha Museum and the Museum of Communism. Pay a visit to Langhans Gallery in Prague, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art and the Sternberg Palace National Gallery, to get your fill of art.

If you are looking for great family fun, head to the children’s attractions. The kids will love the incredible animal adventures at Prague Zoo in Prague.

If the sun is out, follow the lead of the locals who know the area best and head outside to the nearby green spaces. Enjoy some of the tranquil urban spaces such as Royal Garden in Prague, Kampa Park and Stromovka Park. If you are looking for somewhere to escape for a while, do a spot of fishing or enjoy the gentle lapping of water spend time at Lake Hostivar in Prague. Put on your hiking shoes and discover the popular natural preserves for which this area is so renowned, like Kunratice Forest in Prague and Slavic Island.

South Bohemia offers tourists a range of attractions and sights. While you are arranging your trip, allow plenty of time to see them all.
