Not a "little renovation"Posted Dec 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
Drove by twice thinking it didn't look open before I realized it was my hotel. Mattresses stacked 15 feet high in the entry area. Piles of dirt and fertilizer outside. Temporary lights in the hallway. Room was ok. Felt kind of like we were "roughing it." Might be nice someday, would not recommend currently.

I was not aware when I booked the room the lobby and exterior were being remodeled. I almost drove past it as there was only a small temporary sign on the ground. I was not sure they were even open for business. There was a contractor crew painting and plastic sheets up in the lobby and in the elevators. Would have been nice to know this before we booked the room and you should be discounting the rates more than you were. I will say however the room was a nice surprise after walking thru the construction zone to get there.

The hotel is under construction of remodeling and the foyer is horrible, but the staff was extremely accommodating. The clerk as well as the breakfast personnel were very nice and the bed was comfortable. The room was spacious and very clean. This is our second visit while they have been under construction and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

They have a major renovation going on at the moment. I'm sure it will be nice when it's done, but the lobby is a wreck right now. Booked a room with two queen beds through Expedia and when we checked in, the put us in a room with a king bed and a sofa (not a sofa bed). I checked with the desk and was told that my reservation didn't make it into their system as a double and they didn't know if they had any other rooms available when we checked in. We requested a roll-away bed and when we unfolded it, the "mattress" was a set of springs covered with a single layer of fabric. My son decided to take the sheets off of it and sleep on the couch. Everything else was pretty nice. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but decent food and a good variety. Should be a nice place when the remodel is complete.

Wait a few months to stay there.Posted Nov 12, 2012
Pros: Will be attractive one day.
Cons: No sign. Poor access.
Location: OK, except for access.
Took forever to find it. No sign (apparently lying face down out front; still was the next morning); no number on building; wrong number given by IPhone app, so no answer. Refurb still going on. Originally put on freshly painted second floor. Unbearable fumes. Got moved to 4th floor where air was much better. Access is not good; can only be entered off a southbound service road, so if approaching from any direction, must enter that service road north of the hotel. Coffee maker made very weak coffee. Rooms will be attractive when the hotel is finished, but have not been fully made ready as yet.
