Great New England Style Inn.

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Location ,Atmosphere, Amentias, on site food and drink
Cons: The Pub Menu.
Location: Long Island Winery's, Outlet Shopping, Riverhead, Hand Crafted Brewery's and Restaurants, splash splash water park, River Head Aquarium.
I love the Inn and spa at East Wind Inn, I have stayed here many time while on business in the Long island NY area. This Hotel, Inn is actually an event center for weddings and such, so its Huge, you can get lost tin this place ! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the staff is very friendly and the overall New England Atmosphere of this Hotel is breathtaking. They also have a spa, message, a jewelry store and a breakfast café with an Ice-cream shop, they also have there own restaurant Pub on primes. I have dined in the Italian style restaurant and the food and service good and value priced, I also dinned in the Pub side, which was nice, but not has good has the full restaurant, however the food is ok and not to pricey, and they also have a great Hand Crafted Micro Beer selection and a Brick Oven Pizza selection. The Hotels location is perfect if you plan to spend some time on the North Fork wine country, with over 40 winery's, your day will be full, the hotel is also close to outlet shopping and historic Riverhead. This Hotel is perfect for couples with or with out kids,or for business stays has well. Over all a very good experience!

great location, new England charm

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Location and size of rooms
Cons: A better place to eat breakfast,
Location: Winerys,Brewerys,shops,River Head Aquirium,greenport village
This fine inn is located very close to the LI NY North Fork wine Country, The Nappa valley of the east coast with over 40 local winery's. The hotel is also closely located to historic Riverhead and the Riverhead Aquarium and also less than 59 minutes from the town of green point LI a small but very active town on the east end fork, they even have there own indoor working Horse carousel. Thee rooms were comfortable and clean and a great value, the staff was very polite and helpful, the food and drink in there on premise was not overpriced and enjoyable. I would defiantly stay at this Inn again, the place is Huge. You could actually stay right at the hotel and relax with a message, sauna, hair style or Dinning.

Only overnight

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: It only has fifty rooms so there is plenty of space to make you feel like you are alone. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are spacious and comf
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great restaurants within 20 miles and the hotel restaurant, Desmonds, is one of them.
We were stating only overnight but we relaxed so much it felt like more. We have stayed here before and have neven been disappointed. We have also been to three wedding receptions at East Winds and are heading for another this year. Even if you only have one night get away try this place. It is close to home but you feel like you are miles away.

Midweek Sojourn

Posted Jan 17, 2015 on Hotels.com
For the midweek price I paid, I doubt it can get more immaculate than East Wind. The Hotel was rather quiet, and the several request we made we accommodated immediately. We both rested fitfully and awoke refreshed, and ready to resume life. I have every intention of staying here again in the future

It was enjoyable, the hotel has nice furnishings but is older than I expected. For the price it was great.

Need to work on more offerings for entertainment

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: The property is beautiful
Cons: See above
Location: Nothing to do near by.
Beautiful property with clean, spacious, beautiful rooms. We were there in January for a couple of days. In the evening we were hoping to relax and catch a movies and enjoy some wine. The cable service was slim at best, with no offerings for movies. We asked the front desk if they had DVD players that we could use, hoping that we could grab a movie from a local Redbox. No such luck. We attempted to download a movie onto our i-pad as a last resort, but the "high-speed" internet service was anything but and it took more than two hours to download the movie. Unfortunately, the hotel's location, while beautiful, is not convenient to any movie theaters or other entertainment venues. My only suggestion would be to update the cable and paid movie offerings as soon as possible. They would have to do this in order for this property to make it onto my "A" list for a repeat visit.
