STAY AWAY UNTIL RENOVATIONS ARE FINISHED.

Posted May 3, 2013
This hotel is being renovated and will become a Comfort Inn in the fall of 2013. Whilst the renovations are in progress a part of the hotel is being run as a Rodeway Inn. The long and short of this review is that the hotel should not be operating. Rooms are badly maintained and badly serviced (our room was not serviced on second day because we had "do not disturb" sign up when the staff checked at 9:30 am). This may be a nice property when it is renovated and re-branded but in the meantime, stay away unless you want a lot of noise and disappointing rooms. I am very disappointed that Expedia accepted a reservation without knowing that this hotel is not operating as normal.

Clean, but below average

Posted Nov 19, 2011
This hotel had a very convenient location for our visit to family. We stayed here because the adjacent hotel did not have availability. This is a rather run down hotel with almost no appealing amenities. The room had peeling wallpaper and a general worn appearance. The "continental breakfast" is not worth the walk down the hall; the coffee is simply not good and the choice is cold cereal or very limited pastries/breads. The front desk personnel customer service was inconsistent - some were very friendly and helpful, others more abrupt and curt. Our room was not vacuumed or cleaned during our 4 night stay and the in-room coffee packets were not replaced. On the positive side, the room was clean upon arrival, our towels were changed out daily, the water pressure/temperature was adequate, and the heater worked very well. A note to the management - overall the personnel seemed to be fair to good employees, but they may be more motivated to take pride in their place of employment and deliver excellent customer service if the hotel rooms and conference areas were upgraded. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but it would not be my first choice.

The place was clean, the staff was polite but they were not well informed/trained. The wireless internet service is only guaranteed in the lobby. Written materials said it was avail. throughout the facility. After asking three different employees about the wifi we finally got an honest answer about the lobby location. This is a definate area for improvement.
