nice hotel but way over-priced

Pros: The architecture was the only appealing thing about this hotel.
Cons: Better access and organization in relation to lounge chairs and a better menu for poolside treats and snacks
The room was nice but the view was not what I expected for such an expensive hotel. There was a umbrella stuck in the tree right outside our ground floor room and someone's wet shorts wrapped around the same tree. Not a very appealing sight to look out onto. The food was not what I expected from a Fairmont Hotel. The pastries were stale and not very satisfying and the morning brunch was downright disappointing. The meal was ordinary and without flavour. The so-called freshly squeezed orange juice was undrinkable and tasted like someone had spiked it with linseed oil. The waffles were unappealing and without taste and there was no compote to supplement the lack of flavour on the waffles. All in all, we had a very disappointing stay for so much money that I would have been more satisfied by sleeping on the beach and just burning the money because I felt that for what I paid, it was not worth it.

Quiet hotel

Our stay at the Fairmont was exceptional, having never been there before. We won't hesitate to make this an annual experience. The rooms are a good size and the staff were outstanding.

Beautiful Resort in Wailea

Pros: The lobby, staff, spa, open-ocean-breeze hallways. Car service to nearby points of interest. Hospitality suite available if needed upon check out.
Cons: Self-parking is VERY tight (nobody parks within their lines)… watch the dings on your car rental! Dining prices will hurt here.
Location: Wailea is a beautiful area, but very expensive. If you want a luxurious hotel, stay here. But leave the property for the real Maui experience.
This hotel is 5-star. Top notch. You are welcomed with an Hawaiian Lei and Passion-Orange-Guava juice. The entire experience at the Fairmont is a positive one (with exception of self-parking in the very tight spots). Highly recommended.

Had a great time at the fairmont, comfortable room with plenty of space for a family of 5. Kids enjoyed the pool and the beach was great too

Excellent stay. No fault with hotel and resort. Works out expensive if there at resort restaurants. Great service, very family friendly. Highly recommended for families who value great service and are willing to pay for it!!

10 day winter getaway at the Kea Lani, Maui.

Pros: Spacious grounds and pool areas for relaxing.
Cons: Number of pool attendants/ bar staff around the pools.
Location: Located at the end of a fabulous beach walk in Wailea, the Kea Lani is convenient for the Shops at Wailea, Makena beach and many water activities.
We were surprised to have a very spacious room with a separate sitting area and a large patio. Room services were excellent and the grounds and pools are very well maintained. Altogether a lovely holiday.

Paradise

Pros: The service, the room, the food, the Mai Tais, the service, the grounds, the staff. You name it.
Our stay was enjoyable from the moment we pulled into the driveway until the moment we left. Entering the open air lobby is literally paradise complete with beautiful, flowers, tropical birds and a glass of fresh guava juice. The entire property is gorgeous and well groomed. The views are spectacular with the island of Molokai a short distance from the beach. The staff exhibited over the top can do attitude along with genuine welcoming. We dined at Nick's Fish Market as well as the lounge in the lobby and found the food and drinks to be top notch. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking the ultimate Aloha experience.

This is a first class resort and they treat like a first class person. Attentive, hospitable and then there's the all-suite luxury. You can't go wrong with this destination.
