Close to Wakayama JR station
Nice staff, small but tidy room. Dark ambience. Simple breakfast in Japanese style. Nice coffee. Just without hot spring facility if that’s important for you. Wifi is a bit slow at times.

Nice location to visit Wakayama
The place was neat and the reception really good. Breakfast is not bad. It's really close to the JR Station so if you come from the airport and you're tired it is very convenient. There is a 7 eleven and a Lawson at walking distance of you need to eat/drink. We rented bicycles not far from the hotel. The city is a nice place for bicycles. Kimiidera is a good spot, you can also go to the sea and other small temples. The castle is brand new so if you like old monuments it is not very interesting but the garden around it is a cool place to relax.

The stay results very convenient due to locations of hotel very near of local train station, hotel’s personnel was also very kindly and helpful which do the our stay more enjoyable, breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast which is good but not too much assorted.

Will not consider this hotel in future trip
Our encounter with reception staff were not pleasant, they were cold and not approachable. However breakfast station staff were very polite and efficient. It is a pity that this is not a smoke free building so you have to endure the smoke smell that lingers in lobby and elevator.

Delicious breakfast!
The room was small but it was fine because we only used it for sleeping. The staff was were very helpful, location was right next to the train station, it was nice and quiet, breakfast was fabulous, and check-in/out was quick and easy! Great place to stay for a reasonable price!

Been to many hotels in Japan and this one was of great value. Rooms were reasonably sized for Japan standard. The hotel was located 5 min walk from the train station and there was a good supermarket nearby.

Nice Stay!
The location is closed to JR Wakayama Station, and 2 convenience stores near the hotel. Staffs are nice and helpful, and the room is big and there is a massage chair in our room! It would be great if the room is non-smoking room.

Wakayama Urban Hotel - good value
This hotel is relatively large by Japanese hotel standards. The room was spacious with the toilet in a separate room. The room however, was wall papered in a very dark grey color, which made the room look rather dark. The dining room was spacious with nice, comfortable furniture. Breakfast was included. The hotel is located within a couple of blocks from the rear entrance to the train station. It's located 1 block from a 7-11. Because there is no English signage on the building, we would not have known where this hotel was, without asking someone.

Good hotel. Near Wakayama Station.
We can rent bicycle for cheap prices. Just only 100 Yen per day. But this city is nothing special. This hotel is good choice for tourist.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay in this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We had a good view of surroundings with room 1111. Free wifi was good. Public parking was just opposite the hotel. The hotel have their own parking but the staff said it has all been reserved. The staff can generally speak good English. Convenient stores such as 7-eleven and Lawson are nearby.
