the hotel is under renovations, first room , the bathroom had black mold on ceiling and around base boards. but the staff was very accommodating and moved me to another room soon as they learned of the issue. it was a room, no frills, the second room was nicer, but had no little refrigerator. but for the price it was a decent value

Economical over-night stay.

Pros: Staff and lake view room.
Cons: I did leave a single LL Bean winter boot. (I think!) When I got home I only had one in my gear.
Location: I-Max movies, several good restaurants. Probably more, but I did not have the time to explore. More a working man's Inn.
Had Doctor appointments in Boston the next day. Directions to the Clarion from Bangor, Maine were simple. Getting into Boston via I-93 was easy. Did not have time to spend at the Inn but saw there were outdoor grills, a beanbag toss game and a pleasant looking lawn over-looking a small-medium size pond. A bar with two dart boards & a pool table were available. Lots of hot water for shower in the morning too! Re-construction was on going but not an issue from my vantage point. The facilities were worn yet practical. Some upkeep is warranted. Slight musty hallway odor noticed. A reasonable deal for the price when compared to other area hotels.

Simple, convenient north of Boston hotel.

Pros: It was clean & comfy. No free breakfast, but came with 20% off their already-cheap lakeside cafe offering good food, variety, view and service.
Cons: Tired elders, we were upset to find no lift & no bellhop. A kind painting contractor helped on check-in. On leaving, we had to bust our aging butts.
Location: Lakefront industrial park locale on Route 128 circle. Good for business travel or stops in & out of city. Outdoor pool; lovely 3-mile walk around lake
We stopped for a quick overnight after flying in to Boston and driving to the Logan Express terminal in Woburn en route home from Europe. We knew from previous experience that the place would be simple and inelegant, but we were not looking to have a luxurious vacation there. We just wanted to sleep overnight without busting the budget. I should note that the formerly deteriorated facility has recently been purchased by Clarion, and it clearly was in the process of getting a facelift and upgrade.

Hotel under construction and I wasn't told prior to booking. Extremely dated and not very clean. I would not recommend it not stay there again.

Not worth the money.

The recent remodel work was shoddy workmanship. The whole hotel has a very aged institutional feel. The furniture was in poor shape. I had to buy a power strip because there was only 1 free outlet in the room. Outside lighting was very bad. Kept blinds closed to hide view of lake behind hotel. Wifi was very poor signal strength.
